Prominent astronomers now claim that our Sun has a dual star with which it forms a binary system. In this video, the way in which the Sun and its dual dark star interact to affect human mental and physical performance is addressed. It does this by varying the availability of prana - life energy (also known in the Far East as "qi" or "chi").

The most complex ground-based astronomy observatory in the world, the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA), has officially opened for astronomers. The first released image, from a telescope still under construction, reveals a view of the Universe that cannot be seen at all by visible-light and infrared telescopes. Leiden University is the oldest university in The Netherlands. Astronomy in Leiden has a long tradition. In 1633, Leiden University established an observatory to accommodate the so-called quadrant of Snellius (the Dutch scientist best known for his laws of refraction). This founding date makes the Sterrewacht Leiden the oldest still operating university observatory in the world. In the first two centuries of its existence it served mainly an educational purpose. The construction of a spacious new observatory building in 1861, under the supervision of F. Kaiser, marks the beginning of the modern era of astronomical research in Leiden. This building was the home of Leiden astronomy for over a century, and still has powerful symbolic value. Photography: Fred Kamphues/www.millhouse.nl
