At the moment of big bang matter was concentrated at one point. Then it has started its expansion. Dimensions and forces have been created at that time, however, the amount of matter in the universe stays the same. Energy is constantly flowing. It’s a simple fact, which makes the world a comfy place. That flow is infinite, and most aspects of it are not visible to us. This image is just my imagination of that process. The piece inspired by strickerbombing seen on the shop window near Miodowa street in Warsaw. MUSIC / World's End Girlfriend - A Faint Melody

      • SGL X Star Party Timelapse

I've combined three (and a bit) timelapses taken from the Stargazers Lounge's astronomy forum (www.stargazerslounge.com) annual star party at Lucksall Camping & Caravan Site near Hereford, held this year 19th - 23rd March 2015. All three nights I attended had clear patches but with a considerable amount of high cloud which is visible in the video. Most of the footage was captured using a Canon 6D with 14mm Samyang lens video, the last few seconds were captured on a modified Canon 650D although approaching daylight didn't allow for the modded nature of the camera to show. All exposures were 30 seconds, mostly at either f/2.8 or f/3.2.

Hubble's image of M51, also known as the Whirlpool Galaxy, shows the majestic spiral arms that are actually long lanes of stars and gas laced with dust. The infrared image from Spitzer also reveals stars and the glow from clouds of interstellar dust.

About a hundred and forty years ago, the light from a supernova explosion in our galaxy reached the Earth, but no one saw it. The discovery of this supernova remnant helps astronomers better understand how often these stellar time-bombs go off in our galaxy.

The supernova explosion that created this object was witnessed on Earth about 400 ago years by many skywatchers, including the astronomer Johannes Kepler. This object, which now bears Kepler's name, is the remains of a massive star's demise.
