              What expectations have you placed on yourself? The Pygmalion Effect describes how we literally perform at the level that people expect us to. This has played out with very damaging consequences in sociological experiments related to our identities (age, race, gender) and in turn impacted our careers. In one study, teachers were told that certain students (randomly assigned) would experience significant growth that year. The teachers were also instructed not to give these students special treatment. The result was that the students, in fact, did outperform their peers. This has a pretty profound impact on how others can impose limitations, or extend the potential, of our lives. We also self-impose a pygmalion effect. Whatever assumptions you have about your own performance .... "I'm too old." "I'm not good at technical stuff" "It's mostly men doing that work" "I'm not a creative" ... realize that these thoughts are a bigger impediment to your career progress than anything 'real'. Name it, tame it, reframe it.

Excessive packaging harms the environment, and for the sake of those we love, Beyond Packaging informs the utmost importance of this change through multiple advertising platforms. With the aid of Augmented Reality (AR), one’s current perception of reality in various sensory experiences is enhanced through their hand-held devices. The excessive use of packaging has become a global issue that will continue to worsen if not addressed. The campaign conveys this message by using a familiar package that consumers discard daily. Knowing that humans tend to protect what they love, know and understand, this campaign is launched centering on their loved ones. It recognizes that consumers may all regret not taking action now to protect and sustain our biophysical environment while they can. Although packaging is inevitable in the 21st Century, the destructive environmental impact can definitely be reduced. Packaging is necessary, but excessive packaging not. Al Gore have once mentioned “There is an old African proverb, If you want to go fast; go alone, if you want to go far; go together, we need to act both quickly and together to put an end to the climate crisis. To solve the climate crisis, we have to go far, go together.” Change because you love. Change habits, change the world.
