Amateur music video comprising 2 x Song DEMOS with video editing. This is more an exercise in experimental art rather than your conventional music video. I put it together with a few home demo recordings (i.e. songs are not produced), a ton of time spent in different video editing softwares and zero budget (except of course for editing softwares, camera, petrol etc,.). Also, the explosion and clouds are stock footage. Crap internet connection where I am so I've only uploaded the smallest file version. Anyway, hope you find it weird or interesting enough to LIKE or leave a Comment. Thanks for your time.

The "Artin" is an annual music and art happening..housed in various "avaliable" backyards over the years. Artin encourages (always though food and wine :) the improvised music, painting and even spoken word. The original Art In 2002 (Salisbury Street Inglewood) was constructed to celebrate my sister Justine's 30th Birthday. Each year the events are recorded / photographed and a limited edition (20 copies) CD (sometimes with DVD Bits) is release mainly for the participates of the event. In 2012 Artin turned 10 years old :)...but my sister turned 40. :() Artin 2012 was held at Boya 14th January 2012. To celebrate these important occasions I designed this piece with my partner Alia. "40 Eggs for Video and Canvas" involved 40 blown egg, which were then injected with about 6 different coloured paints. The shell of the egg concealing the colour within (with varying degrees of success) and each egg was sealed with wax at the top to cover the hole. 40 people (or hands) were selected from the attendees of the ArtIn . Each impact was documented in approximately 1 min sections on the lit canvas via standard definition MINI DV video (high def next time :) The process was designed to create a near perfect random environment. The Executing hands can only respond to position (depending on the accuracy of their throw from about 2 metres) and not make intentional statement with colour. The video was edited to include the moment after impact and end of liquid movement across the canvas. The sound track was constructed using an egg rolling in a wooden bowl, metal wok and glass desktop. The real-time improvisation with the egg was fed into Ableton (audio editiong software) and spliced. Each sound fragment was set out across the Ableton control surface and "scrambled" :) a little bit more. This is only a 5 minute excerpt; the full length version is 38 mins in duration Only 5 DVDs are being created. One is going to to my sister Justine along with the completed canvas.. Happy Birthday !!....It was a really great night.. Remember ...."Do not opt out....Art in..." Many thanks to everyone involved. Wheldon Thornley

This was on a VHS I found in a bag (along with a bunch of others) after a tip-off from a yard sale. I assume it was probably a project for a 3rd year film class at Ryerson, and at the end it says it was made by "Madi." I added the audio, which is a soundtrack I made for a haunted house a few years ago. I'm pretty sure what I did was take a few songs that were popular at the time and stretch them out to be an hour long, and then add children singing on top of it.

                      What are Tags?

Tags are keywords that describe videos. For example, a video of your Hawaiian vacation might be tagged with "Hawaii," "beach," "surfing," and "sunburn."
