b4apres Media's debut film, “AZADI: Freedom”, is a cultural documentary as seen through the eyes of skiers. Set in the disputed region of Kashmir, an area deemed the “most dangerous place in the world” during the violent militant insurgency of the 1990's. What director Anthony Bonello and crew find in 2010 is an aesthetically beautiful landscape and a people eager for Kashmir to once again become “a paradise on earth.” Whilst exploring the mountains surrounding the world's highest skiable gondola, the crew meet vibrant local characters, ski picturesque forests and thin alpine air. Through beautiful cinematography, interviews, animation and quiet pauses, this backcountry ski film will give you a greater understanding of one of the most negatively publicized regions on the planet... and leave you yearning for winter. Featuring: Forrest Coots, Colin Puskas, Chad Sayers, Peter Velisek. Also featuring: Billa Bakshi, Yakub Dunoo, Arif Khan, Showkat Ahmmad and others. Supported by Haglofs, Moment Skis, Icebreaker, Powderguide.com, Black Diamond, Biglines.com and Smith Optics.

Between Christmas and New Years I had the good fortune of skiing at Great Canadian Heliskiing. Each year, Jordan Manley travels to GCH to experiment with ideas for original still images and he invited me to join him to shoot video. This year we explored the incredibly aesthetic burns that GCH have and got this great bird's eye view. Look out for some banger photographs from Jordan Manley in next years magazines. Many thanks to Greg Porter for having us and allowing us space and time to be creative. Big thanks to Tim Wilkinson also. Rob Dalinghaus is the man in the field, guiding our group and making things happen. A special shout out to the staff at Heather Mountain Lodge for the incredible food and the great sing-alongs. Shot & Edited by Anthony Bonello http://b4apres.com Skiers: Dave Treadway, Tessa Treadway Thanks to Jordan Manley http://jordanmanley.com Song: Pumped Up Kicks by Foster the People. STAND, a new film from b4apres Media in association with Dendrite Studios and presented by Quiksilver Waterman, will take you into the heart of the largest temperate rainforest on the planet the Great Bear in British Columbia, Canada. Hung on the skeleton of a good ol' fashioned adventure undertaken by a group of surfers, the potential effects of introducing super tankers to these pristine waters will be articulated. As the crew moves through this remote region under their own power, the landscape will be unfurled one paddle stroke at a time and punctuated by the faces and fears of the First Nation people who call this garden of Eden their home. Not just an efficient mode of transport, a stand up paddleboard expedition will be symbolic of "standing up" to preserve this last bastion of rainforest. Captured in cinematic High Definition, the film will bring the Enbridge Pipeline debate into the the collective consciousness in a way that will have you fishing in your basement for that old fluorescent wetsuit.
