We all know the benefits of the Metabones Speedbooster, the increase in light transmission, the recovery of a lens angle of view, Canon EF lens control, declicked aperture on Nikon G lenses and overall increase in MTF but not many mention the back focus adjustment that the adapter gives you. Any Positive Lock lens mount offers the user backfocus adjustment via metal shims, this allows a Prime lens to have accurate marks and gives compatible Zoom lenses a Parfocal function. To have this adjustment available on a humble Pocket camera or indeed a Sony FS7 is highly desirable. This simple demonstration is with 3 popular zoom lenses on my BMCC MFT and includes a budget Tamron 17-50 F2.8, a Sigma 18-35 and a Nikon 80-200 F2.8 Mk2. I have also adapted the lenses with a Kenko 1.4X Tele Extender. I feel the lenses wide open perform very well but this demo is to show each lens retaining focus as it is zoomed out and gaining Parfocal ability, i kept each lens wide open to reduce the depth of field so that any focus shift could be detected. I highly recommend you check out Metabones website for details on Backfocus adjustment.

Sigma 24-105. I know its not parfocal, but this has got to be the worst backfocus I've seen in any zoom lens.
