Despite not knowing the numbers in advance, over 500 people were fed to their hearts content at the Hunt family reunion. Seafood abounded and was locally caught and donated. About 75 salmon were smoked over an open fire and bannock was fresh and delicious. The year's strong oolichan run made it possible to include this tasty treat. And there were even seagull eggs brought by the Bella Bella visitors who came by canoe!

This video showcases the photography of John Hoobler of Artistry in Light, a leading photographer from Eastern Idaho. His work is well regarded for his visionary insight in capturing once in a lifetime moments. He says, "Photography for me has never been about all the neat gadgets (well maybe a little) it’s been about capturing that moment in time that will last forever. It’s allowing everyone to see what you saw in that moment how you saw it. Photography is an amazing way to look at the world and freeze it so that others may enjoy it’s beauty as well." His black and white film photography is legendary. He says, "Photography, to me, is the ability to capture the light and the darkness in perfect harmony with each other... In photography Color feeds the Eyes but Black & White feeds the mind." Thanks to John for sharing a few of his images with us to create this video. It captures the essence of the local people of eastern Idaho, their strength of character, and independent identity. It honors the human spirit of the people who make eastern Idaho their home. This footage was created & edited my me at Teton Video Services on an AJA Kona LHi with footage rendered into 10 bit AJA YUV codec .MOV files in 1080i footage, and later encoded into MPEG-2 files with the .H264 .MPG standard for final delivery. The soundtrack is provided by Jack Waldenmeier Productions, and we own the copyright for its use.
