http://www.gty.org/resources/sermons/44-26/ Acts 7:18–53 We have been working through the Book of Acts, and for good intent, so that we might understand the nature of the church from its very outset, its very foundation. We find ourselves in moving through the early history of the church and the foundations that are laid in chapter 7 of the Book of Acts. And in chapter 7, there is one very significant event. It is the first martyrdom of a Christian. The church, by the time we get to this chapter, has had a significant impact on the city of Jerusalem. In fact, in chapter 5 verse 28, the Sanhedrin, the very council before whom Stephen stands, meets, and the high priest is there. And these are the words of the high priest to the apostles: “We gave you strict orders not to continue teaching in this name.” The name of Jesus. “And yet, you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching and intend to bring this man’s blood upon us.”...

http://www.gty.org/resources/sermons/43-70 John 13:31-38 You can open your Bible to John 13. We have come to a very unique section in all of the New Testament. The gospels – Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John – give us a history of the life of our Lord, from His birth, to His ascension and coronation in heaven. They tell the story. Most of the texts of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John are narrative texts. Along the way, of course, some sermons that He preached. But when we come to John 13 through 17, we come to a text that is unique because that entire sweeping section of John’s gospel all takes place on one night. One night. It is Thursday night of Passion Week. It is the night in which our Lord met with His disciples and celebrated the Passover, and then He transformed it into the Lord’s Supper. It is the night in which Judas betrayed Him and which He went to the garden and prayed and was arrested and put through some mock trials. It is the night before He is crucified.

A Documentary about Abortion from the Biblical Perspective The legalisation of abortion in some countries of the western world has resulted in more unborn children being slaughtered than the entire global death-toll during the Second World War, including the Holocaust and Hiroshima. “The Land Cries Out” examines the spiritual and social consequences of this silent holocaust for three nations: the United States of America, Great Britain and Israel. Participants in the documentary include Pro-Life advocates, legal practitioners and intercessors from those three nations and from the Netherlands (in the full length version). Among the victims of the legalisation of abortion are the women involved, many of whom have suffered emotionally and psychologically from the sin of killing their unborn children. “The Land Cries Out” includes the testimony of women who speak out about how their abortions have affected them. They testify how they later found forgiveness and healing through Jesus Christ. The primary purpose of this powerful documentary is to encourage Christians to pray for the abolition of abortion in our nations and particularly in Israel – the nation from which the Christian faith originated and with which the destiny of the whole world is intertwined. Both the full length and abridged versions of “The Land Cries Out” (45 minutes and 20 minutes respectively) contain horrifying images of unborn babies killed during abortion procedures, and should not be shown to children.
