We're going dream about what heaven on earth will be like. Do you ever think about the nature of eternal life? What would it mean to live with a clearer picture of the end in mind? Revelation 21 & 22 (select passages) "Then I saw "a new heaven and a new earth," for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Look! God's dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 'He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death' or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. " He who was seated on the throne said, "I am making everything new!"... And [an angel] carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God. It shone with the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal. It had a great, high wall with twelve gates... The city was laid out like a square, as long as it was wide. He measured the city with the rod and found it to be 12,000 stadia in length, and as wide and high as it is long... I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple... The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it... The glory and honor of the nations will be brought into it. Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever.

          • Part 2: The Compassion of Jesus

            from EAEC / Added

Welcome to Resurrection Life of Jesus Church This is a video from our weekly webcast. Sunday Service: 10:30AM PST Thursday Bible Study: 7:00PM PST eaec.org/webcast.htm We are a Bible centered group of believers in Sacramento, California, who desire to grow in the full knowledge of Jesus Christ without compromise to His Word. We believe, teach and practice all things that Jesus taught and that were practiced by the Church in the book of the Acts of the Apostles. Our ministry is geared to strengthen people who are walking with Christ by equipping them to reach the younger generations so that God will continue to have some mighty men and women to proclaim the good news of the Gospel. ABOUT THE VIDEO The dictionary defines compassion as "sympathetic consciousness of others' distress together with a desire to alleviate it." This is evident in the ministry of Jesus and how He dealt with people. Pastor John looks at three different events: the story of the Good Samaritan, the man with the withered hand, and Jairus, a ruler in the synagogue whose daughter was very sick. All three stories showed how Jesus had compassion for those who were hurting, on the wrong side of the tracks or on the opposite end of the political spectrum. The Bible says that Jesus is the same, yesterday, today and forever, which means His way of thinking and operating has not changed. Jesus wants to show compassion to those who are hurting but so many people won't allow Him to minister to them because they have created an image of Jesus that is foreign to the Bible. By destroying the Jesus as presented in the Bible, there is no way you can receive His compassion in your life. Do you have a biblical view of Jesus or have you created a human Jesus that has no power in your life. Are you willing to accept His compassion for you? eaec.org/sermons/2012/RLJ-1330.htm

The seven strangers find a safe home in the form of an office building to ride out their journey as they continue to uncover the mystery behind "40" and each other... 40 is a thrilling post-apocalyptic drama. Seven strangers appear to be the only survivors of a mysterious, calamitous event: Los Angeles is empty, devoid of people. No sign remains of family, neighbors or coworkers. No space ship hovers over the city, there are no zombies or flesh-eating viruses. Just seven strangers, who share the same iridescent blue mark on the shoulder, a tiny, precise square of color that wasn't there yesterday. Were they chosen? Or have they been culled? By whom? For what purpose? Visit the official website to learn more at http://40theseries.com Their search for answers leads the seven to an even greater mystery. Why do they suddenly feel compelled to leave the safety of the city for an unknown destination? And why does the number 40 exert such power over them? Why are they being drawn towards whatever 40 represents with such compulsion, such longing? 40 is also a Lenten allegory. 40 can stand on its own as a rewarding viewing experience. Because it's structured as a Lenten allegory, 40 also provides fertile ground for prayer, conversation, meditation and study. Exile and journeying, loss and grief, hunger and thirst, mortification and fasting, sin and redemption, the path through the desert and the way of the Cross—all are dramatically "mirrored" by the story unfolding onscreen. http://40theseries.com/reflections provides access to "what's beneath" each episode. Click on "Reflections" or the "Reflections Archive" to access past episodes and you will be presented with a wealth of commentary, scriptural references, prayers, poetry, prose and music, specially curated by the writer and producers to augment your experience. 40 is an innovative tool for observing Lent. At home, at work or in the classroom—40 is the perfect compliment to your Lenten experience.
