Atlanta Billboards There is something fishy in Atlanta! Two members of the international artist collective, Seeking Kali, have turned their imaginations loose in an aquatic salute to one of the world’s greatest aquariums. Atlanta is the 10th city to host art created by the collective for roadside display as part of The Billboard Project. Paying homage to nature’s breathtaking underwater life forms. Here, we venture into art's purist form of creativity, colors and explore life we rarely have access to: a world beyond our human dimension. In this series, Susan Shulman and William Evertson have created 40 new and original digital images for these consecutive postings that can be viewed on the billboard located on Peachtree Road NE. The board faces north, so you will see the images while driving southbound. These digital manipulated visuals are comprised of mixed media: painting, photography and drawing. Once the images are created a video is developed promoting original music and musicians from Australia, Canada and the United States. Seeking Kali billboard videos are extension of their artistic exploration of the collective spirit. We like to promote original music, and musicians in our videos that are extension of all our elements. We believe in the collective spirit. Music and lyrics: Busy Kingdom from Australia. itunes.apple.com/au/album/turn-off-your-tv/id494148792 “Seeking Kali is three artists: William Evertson (US), Ria Vanden Eynde (Belgium) and Susan Shulman (Canada) who in 2010 explored connecting their individual creative processes through social media platforms to create bodies of work involving traditional and non-traditional art forms. These social media platforms quickly became virtual studio spaces that the three artists used to invite other artists to come into and collaborate. As hip and revolutionary as Warhol’s Factory, their studio blogs have attracted artists from around the globe housing such projects as Seeking Kali and The Medusa Gaze as well as generating and linking live art exhibits in dozens of cities around the world.
