In March this year I spent a week in Kite Buggying Nirvana at the NABX event (videos coming shortly). While there I shot a few short videos of the Flexifoil team riders and, rather than frequent the casino floor (where I was staying), loosing money hand over fist, I spent my evenings either getting drunk with the guys or editing. It seems that this was a good plan (well, not plan, "plan" implies intention - I was just doing what I always do)! Soon after returning to the UK I got a call from Craig Sparkes, inviting me and my camera to the inaugural Flexifoil Team Rider event in France. Over a long weekend in mid April I had the privilege of meeting the whole Flexifoil family. We had an amazing time, spent mostly finding new and interesting ways to fill our time while we waited for the God of wind to make an appearance. Obviously the old saying applies: "what goes on tour, stays on tour", but all I will say is that I now know that, when they're not kiting, youngsters play beer pong and REAL men play JD pong. No wind on Friday, a fitful 8mph on Saturday, and finally, on Sunday morning, shortly before we all had to pack up to head home, the God of wind turns up with 16mph. Turned up with a hangover though, and presented us with a gnarly offshore breeze. No kite surfing then. But this was a Flexi event, and these guys will always find a way if there's wind. The tide was with us, so out headed Will, Dave and Richy to show us how it's done in a buggy. Finally some kiting to finish off the weekend! So, here is my video of the first ever Flexifoil Team Rider meeting. I hope you like it. If I've missed your name from the credits please know that it's not personal! There were so many people to meet and talk to that my brain was overloaded with names; or possibly JD. Billy parker tries kite buggying for the first time and flying his first flexifoil blade- the video starts as he just sits in the buggy for the first time, on his first and only run a freak gust sends him 20ft straight up then backwards maybe 60m down the beach, heroicly he doesnt hesistate in throwing the 8.5m into a kite loop, incredibly he initiates the second loop before landing. To loop an 8.5m almost twice airborne is a crazy prospect. Thankfully he lands feet first and all is well but he's very shook up. check out www.pushkiting.co.uk - our kitesurfing schools website for more billy parker and other kiteboarding videos and stories. Cheers, Dave

Last weekend myself and Billy Parker headed from Saint Pete, FL to the Islamorada in the Florida Keys, on the way we stopped at Revolution Cable Park and once we got back hit McCormick's in Tampa. We had some decent winds in the keys but only managed to get some go pro stuff of the lighter wind day. We'll be dropping an edit or two every month for the rest of the year showcasing Florida as the proving ground for wake, kite, and surf crossover athletes. Make sure to stay tuned through the whole video cause BP throws down hard, if your in FLA and your down to bring something to the table hit us up this winter and lets rip. Word. P.S. Big thanks to Mike Walsh from www.OthersideBoardsports.com for being a G, thanks also to Nick and Josh at Revolution and Mike at McCormick's. Lastly big ups to Dave Scott for editing

This summer myself and Billy Parker drove from Florida to Oregon with a 48 foot wake / kite obstacle on a F-150. The obstacle was fabricated in Islamorada, Florida by Mikey Walsh of The Otherside Boardsports. Mikey is fabricating winches as well as portable and modular obstacles. This video shows the feature set up as a 48 foot flat bar, a 16 ft incline to a 32 ft decline rooftop, and a 16 foot bank rail. This video is leftover footage from the road trip, that features the Hood River Slider Project and some shakey clips on Billy Parker throwing down.
