Got to follow these two around on their big day. The video is pretty much what went down in chronological order. Seriously, coolest couple ever. Oh and big thanks to the photographers Kyle Thomas ( http://www.kylethomas.ca ) and Tristan Fast ( http://www.tristanfast.ca ) This was my first time filming a wedding with the DLSR. It was fun, hope to do it some more in the future.

I work with teenagers. I thought it would be interesting to pair their gaze with the songs that run around in their minds. I surveyed a bunch of kids about tunes that were important to them and then selected ten portraits. I tried to do the blur with the camera, but the controls jiggled the camera too much, so I had to revert to digital blur. I felt like I could have worked on it a lot longer, but the date for showing it came, ready or not. I may revisit the idea some time.

This is kinda sorta a first vidblog. Or something like it. I was experimenting. Nothing special. Just something... Doing this reminded me of how badly I need to start taking my camera everywhere so I can film random moments... Bright Eyes "Road to Joy"

I really, really love this song and was going to do a proper music video for it, but it just fit really well with this stuff from Hiroshima/Miyajima, so I couldn't stop myself. Those deer are called しか (shika). They are very strange. The song is "Four Winds" by Bright Eyes from their new album Cassadaga

from Dig For Fire Added 5,090 57 6

Conor Oberst is one of the more divisive characters in indie rock, deeply, madly loved by so many, and probably hated just as vehemently by quite a few as well. It’s hard to put a finger on why his music causes such intense feelings. His songs are intimate and heartfelt, that much is undeniable; beyond that, I guess it depends on how you look at things. This is a beautiful and intimate performance in NYC's best loved record store. http://digital.othermusic.com/ http://www.conoroberst.com/ digforfire.tv
