Another massive winter swell hit Sydney's coast over the last week generating monster sized waves putting on an impressive display of power and beauty along the coastline. People spend hours and hours perched atop the cliffs at Bronte (pronounced Bron-tee) marvelling at the sheer power of waves crashing ashore observing surfers taking on the huge swells. What do people think about as they look out onto the huge swells rolling in and crashing up against the shore? Always wondered.... it appears to be quite therapeutic for so many people. As it was a southerly swell generated by a huge low pressure system off Australia's southern most point in Tasmania only a couple of Sydney's city beaches are rideable in these conditions. Bronte, my favourite beach and local, being one of them. This is PURE BRONTE..... indigozoom.com marcus@indigozoom.com Follow: twitter.com/indigozoom Track: Nothing Brings Me Down Artist: Emiliana Torrini http://www.emilianatorrini.com/

Toy Boats is a short tilt-shift time-lapse video I shot over 3 days while staying in Sydney. The tilt-shift effect was created in Photoshop, compiled in LRTimelapse & After Effects and edited in Premiere Pro CS6. I was fortunate enough to visit while the famous 'Sculpture by the Sea' exhibition was running along the Bondi to Bronte coastal walk. Other locations include Circular Quay, Sydney Tower Eye, Pylon Lookout, Camp Cove, Cahill Expressway Lookout and Observatory Park. Equipment: Canon 5D Mark II with 17-40mm f/4L, 24-105mm f/4L and 70-300mm f/4-5.6 USM Music: Bitstream intercept (Minus Beats) by Chauncey Canfield (from the Vimeo music store)

'The Iconic: The Beach' Online Fashion Video for The Iconic (2013) Shot on Canon DSLR. Produced by Petty Thieves Agency (http://pettythievesagency.tv/) Edited by Vonne Patiag. For more information, please visit theiconic.com.au/ The first in a series of event-specific fashion videos, these style videos commissioned by The Iconic (legendary online fashion retailer) aim to present a mix and match style for fashionable beach wear. Filmed at Bronte, the video's style exudes classic Australian summer ease with a wide range of classic and modern brands all available through The Iconic. The video underwent a heavy post-production phase with time spent on the colour grade to perfect the sun-bleached beach look. Use of slow-mo also helped create the lazy summer day vibe contrast to the powerful colours of the clothes.
