Allegiance To The Same is a documentary that seeks to remind Americans of the sacrifices our veterans make every day for this country, to set straight the negative press brought forth in recent years, and to preserve the few incentives for which they so rightfully deserve. Many Americans, including our elected officials, see the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq as the leading cause for our national debt and see cuts to the military, including veteran benefits, as the solution. During the beginning of the War on Terrorism “Thank a Soldier” became a common thing, people were patriotic and soldiers were considered heroes. With the wars drawing down, people have begun to forget about our service members and why they were there. It is our duty to preserve the honor of those who serve, lest we forget.
