We got hitched and traveled through Japan for two weeks and as usual, I made a video. Highlights include Shinjuku's infamous Robot Show, octopus balls, me being harassed by deer in Nara, a whale shark, a rainy Shibyua crossing, super zen bamboo forests, Sushi, friendly Japanese Macaques, Geishas, a special guest appearance of Mt.Fuji from aboard a bullet train, Sake, Fushimi Inari's never ending Tori gates, and more. Beauty exists everywhere. It has no single meaning. Sunsets, city lights, even emptiness can be captivating. This is my first attempt at timelapse with video, and I felt that the song fit quitte well. Tested a few color correction presets that I made here as well. Any feedback is always appreciated. While in Japan recently I brought along a Flip Video recorder and a monopod and filmed anything that looked interesting. I love how inconspicuous the Flip is. It's great for getting candid shots. I edited the footage using Final Cut Pro. Japan is a really colorful country with lots of interesting sites and sounds. I can't wait to go back! Oct./Nov. 2009.
