You never know what you've set up for yourself until it happens. The higher mind works like that, behind the scenes, carefully crafting what you need to experience. That's what life around you is, it's a great look at yourself, and the person that you are. And so is my case, one fine day back in November, I walked out of my house feeling "I'll create some good things today." About an hour later, as I was filming fall colors as they floated off of trees onto the concrete, I notice an attractive business woman walking down the sidewalk. From down the path I shouted something friendly like, "Hey you, be in my short film!". And thus you get one of the opening shots, as Ruth walking up toward the camera, that was filmed before we even exchanged names. Inquisitive and possibly odd-struck, she inquired as to what I was doing, some talking and friendly conversation came about, and it turns out this modest manager was infact a prolific artist in her own right. Her medium was words, and crafting them in a way that took you places. Stoked, I let her know I would enjoy creating something with her, combining mediums and checking out the result. She agreed, and we exchanged information, a couple weeks later we met up one morning to record the audio for this peice, which is a passage out of one of her amazing books. It seemed like the timing of it all was perfect, and it all worked out, I got some structure for all the fall shots I'd been getting, and she got a great medium for one of her works. Funny how months later you look back and think, "Man, all I really had to do was open the lid, give everything the ok, and then the mold filled itself.." RuthHochman.com Niko.Shrubbyart.com

The pool at my complex attempts to create a peaceful atmosphere, but it's artificiality betrays that peacefulness. To top it off it tends to be abandoned during the winter months, creating an eerie feeling in place of the relaxation the designers intended. This is my attempt to capture that.

This is a short mood piece as well as a small piece of history captured with the Canon 7D. This was inspired by I fellow Vimeo mate. It was shot in 1080p @24 fps but due to its size was converted to 720p @24 fps This is in the realm of experimental, and was mainly just for my benefit, I learned a whole lot while doing this short, and had a lot of fun with it. With that being said I hope you (the viewer) enjoy(s) Music: TV On The Radio-Heroic Dose
