from Studio B Video Productions / Added

Recent three camera shoot using the Sony NX3, NX5U and the AS15 Action Cam. The NX3 plays well with it's older brother, the NX5U. Even the AS15 POV cam does a good job reproducing colors that match these two cameras. All footage is "as recorded" and ungraded. Recorded at the 2014 International Flameworking Conference at Salem Community College, Carneys Point NJ. Dennis Briening, presenter.

                • Samsung HMX-H200 Test Video

The Samsung HMX-H200 is a small, low cost hi-definition camcorder available for around $339 on Amazon which supports 1080i, 720-P60 as well as 480-P60. It has a 20x optical zoom along with a very respectable 2.5 hour battery operation as well as a touch screen which also supports touch focus. It also has the ability to charge via USB as well as it's native charger. This camcorder also has optical stabilization as opposed to the digital stabilization included on many lower cost camcorders. The audio does occassionally exhibit a low level noise which I believe to be caused by the circuits used for optical stabilization as well as the zoom motor drive but not really a problem for me, I usually use external audio. I'd recommend downloading "Format Factory" which is a free program for windows if you plan on editing these files. Must Movie Editing programs cannot edit native AVCHD files, especially at 60 fps (frames per second) Format factory will allow you to convert to AVI, WMV, MP4 and other formats at your choice of resolution and frame rate with no audio sync problems. Hope you enjoy this little over-view. Some information worth adding for those on trips where a charging station isn't available is this camcorder can be charged through it's own mini-usb port as well. Why is that important? If you buy one of those budget solar chargers available on line, you can charge this puppy up while you're away from civilization, hiking or camping or (if you got the money for it) safari. Larry T
