On the weekend of June 26, 2010 thousands of Canadians marched the downtown streets of Toronto to protest the G20 Summit and its intentions. The Canadian government invested over 1 billion dollars (55 million dollars an hour) in security to supposedly protect its citizens. The outcome resulted in the largest mass arrest in Canadian history, with over 1000 arrests, while nearly 800 of them were released without charge a year after. That fateful weekend Shan Vincent de Paul hit the streets of his city to witness the events surrounding the summit. What he saw, and what he captured on camera were disturbing to say the least. The result is a short documentary titled 'UBIQUITY' that presents several scenes that the mainstream media networks refused to show. The film gives us a glimpse of some very human moments, equally touching and irrational, on both sides of the shield. shot and edited by Shan Vincent de Paul

Across the globe, countries at war created posters that would encourage young men to volunteer for battle. Some of these posters cultivated a sense of national pride; others attempted to demonize opponents. From 1914 to 1918, thousands of different posters were created, and only some of these survive today. Look back to the early 1900s and see what everyday citizens saw posted on street corners, on buildings, and sometimes, in their homes. These classic prints are timeless pieces of Canadian history. Their bold colors and strong imagery reveal life in a time long past, but the ideals of these posters remain a part of our common history.
