The most influential unpublished work in the history of psychology. When Carl Jung embarked on an extended self-exploration he called his “confrontation with the unconscious,” the heart of it was The Red Book, a large, illuminated volume he created between 1914 and 1930. Here he developed his principle theories—of the archetypes, the collective unconscious, and the process of individuation—that transformed psychotherapy from a practice concerned with treatment of the sick into a means for higher development of the personality. While Jung considered The Red Book to be his most important work, only a handful of people have ever seen it. Now, in a complete facsimile and translation, it is available to scholars and the general public. It is an astonishing example of calligraphy and art on a par with The Book of Kells and the illuminated manuscripts of William Blake. This publication of The Red Book is a watershed that will cast new light on the making of modern psychology. Update: This is the third (and final) revised version. I totally reworked the color correction using Magic Bullet Colorista Free 1.0, and tweaked the design and color of the title shots and archival footage. Thanks to Richard Harrington (@rhedpixel on Twitter) for his great suggestions. On the second revision, I added newsreel footage from 1956 of the Hungarian and photos to help explain the story. I also went back to have dinner with the Jungs' a week later and got some footage of Matthew Jung cooking desert pancakes - mmmmmm! Generally this is leaner and more to the point, with some additional grading to make the footage a bit brighter. Thanks to Rick Macomber for his excellent suggestions :) Video and Editing by Victoria Taylor-Gore http://www.victoriataylorgore.com Music - Conducted by Dr. Keith J. Short film about Collective unconscious. Back in the November...when I first have discovered meaning of the term I got absolutely fascinased by it and I have read many articles about it. In that time I was also reading a book Steppenwolf by Hermann Hesse and that inspired me as well so I decide to make a short film about an intelectual who is strugling from the harschness of the modern age, who is trying to explain the term with his chaotic thoughts. The idea of the film is that every person is sharing his individual process of thinking. Camera: Panasonic GH1 Lenses: Basic lens, Pentacon auto 2.8/29 Sound: Zoom H4n

Readapted in an animated version here: https://vimeo.com/38817879 For some while i was obsessed with lucid dreaming and practiced it. For some months i managed to tap in and control them for split seconds. But was never able to fly, eventually always fell down when i tried. Dreams are a massive source of inspiration. Why is yawning contagious anyway? Is our brain telling us we have something in common "on the other side"? Or is just a automatic purely physical response? The grandmother that appeared in this dream is already deceased and was very dear to me; she gave me a nice huge hug when we meet tonight. Was already worth while. It was due to vimeo weekend project that i got such intense dream tonight because i fell asleep crossing my fingers wondering what was gonna happen... Thanks! There's more tomorrow, hopefully =) P.S. I had fallen asleep at 7a.m.

Stones Throw 15 Entry Big upz to the Stones Throw posse for this opportunity, mucho graciass to everyone involved and thanks for watching. I only found about about the submissions opportunity 3 days before the contest closing date so I got cracking to get something together to celebrate a tune on the Stones Throw catalog, I just got it uploaded in the nick of time. This piece was inspired for a few different reasons heres the low down.... Originally I wanted to use a different tune than Madvillains 'all caps', maybe something like a Mayer tune(cause I got a lot of lady tales to tell) or an Arabian Prince tune(cause 80's was my era). A dope video for 'all caps' had already been done before but in the end I thought f**k it, I love that Madvillain sh*t, I should do something to a tune I think is sooo hard and that I'm feelin to the maximus. The 'mecha libre' part of the video was something myself and a few mates had been working on but never totally got finished plus we had never showed it anywhere, it was a trailer for a Robot/Godzilla/Japanese style film, inspired by King Kong, The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms, Ray Harryhausen plus many other big toxic monster robot manga Japanese cinema tings, it was a mega mix of motion graphics, some 3d zed brush modeling, matte paintings plus some live action blue screen elements, it was originally created by my homeboy Ivan Manzella and I suggested to him we use some of the clips in the mix for this Madlib tune, it was a good reason to quickly finish some of the unfinished shots out of the trailer we had been making and then put them to good use in this 'all caps' video I was creating, I felt it would work well in the instrumental parts of the 'all caps' tune and keep things in the spirit of Superhero/villain mythology which seems to be around some of the MF Doom imagery. Good vs Evil, the Toxic Sandwich of a world we be living in, feats of superhuman strength from true MCing to flying through the air to save the day, etc etc... The typography section was inspired by my love of words, fonts, letters and graphic design also my girlfriend is always saying she cant understand what the rappers are saying so I thought I would spell out these majestic super dope rhymes of the Doom, now she loves this tune and we are getting on much better, I know its not the most original thing to do, to sync words with rhymes but it was something i could do within the time I had to get this video finished within 3 days, well 3 evenings when I got home from work! I sourced all the words then synced them up and did a little grading, I think they would work amazing projected on a screen behind Doom at a live performance while he performs the song. Also I was thinking these lyrics are so hard that I didnt want to distract from the MCing with some kind of obvious hip hop style video performance. The first and last illustrations where created my Monica Laita, a wicked artist, check out her sexy girls sometime. Also thanks to Paul Weschke we shot some other elements that I didnt have time to add cause the rendering would of taken 8 hrs and I would of missed the deadline, I'm still gonna use the stuff we shot but in a different way. And finally thanks to my homeboy Rodski who first introduced me to Stones Throw music plus for schooling me on all the dope uk hip hop artists, you is a real connoisseur of fly music and always point me towards the good sh*t. Peace out, 2 B continued...

A film combining the mythology of the Hollywood/Spaghetti western, Tarot, magic, occult, Jungian psychology, and mysticism with flamboyant, multi-layered, supersaturated imagery. Multiple narratives conflict and adhere. Meanings emerge and contradict. Music and dialog tell another layered story, sometimes agreeing with the images, sometimes trying to subvert them. A film should be a container for the psychic unconscious energy of its creator. That is what this is. There is also a commercial.

http://holographicarchetypes.weebly.com Available articles and journals on Amazon here: http://holographicarchetypes.weebly.com/articles.html by Iona Miller, (c)2012 Number 6 [plus 0] of Science-Art-USA Series. The most deconstructed archetypal forms are vortexes, toroids, solitons, and singularities. The most fundamental archetype of process is the Field. The quantum vacuum is a dynamic massless scalar field. Scalars are just active information; a hologram is pure information. Entanglement is a property of nonlocal quantum information exchange. The central spiral vortex crossover point (all adjoining toroidal fractal involved fields) is what physicists call a "twistor" or a "wormhole". The underlying structure of the torus is the Vector Equilibrium, or "VE." Fuller called it the blueprint by which nature forms energy into matter. Fuller's search for the geometry of vectors led him to the isotropic vector matrix. Vectors produce conceptual structural models of energy events. Scalar space is "multi-" rather than "three-dimensional." Vectors are directed in every possible direction, while deliberately maintaining equivalent lengths and angles. This equivalence is necessarily determined by the symmetry of space. Vector Equilibrium as the "zerophase" of energetic manifestation -- the zerophase of the unified field. The vacuum, the source of organization, feeds all matter. The geometry of absolute equilibrium correlates with the vacuum in invisible flux. VEM is the archetypal seed of Being. Absolute space structures matter through the geometry of space. Patterns in the vacuum substructure hold the form. In a vortex "outer" coexists with "inner" in a dimensional morphing contorsion-continuum. This vortex energy modality of the fractal universes, this fractal, repeats in every manifestation. A signal is basically some information somehow encoded as a wave. Everything travels as a wave. Amplitude represents its strength or energy as it traverses time or distance. Frequency is the period at which waves cycle. The wavelength is basically the distance occupied by the wave period. Interacting waves can be added together in either the time or frequency domain. Universe is a self-generating Superhologram of infinite potential. Holographic systems can generate three-dimensional virtual images. The mathematical formulations that describe the harmonic curve resulting from the interference pattern of waves are called Fourier transformations. Projecting from a frequency domain of interfering waves, the holographic canvas plays patterns of light and transformation. Crisscrossing patterns occur when two or more waves ripple through each other. In the transactional interpretation of quantum physics, waves of probability originate in the past, present and future. Events manifest when waves from past and future interfere with each other in the present. That pattern creates matter and energy. Universe emerges from the rippling effects of immense numbers of crisscrossing interference waves. The geometry of the fields is more fundamental than the fields or emergent particles themselves. DNA functions in a way that correlates with holographic projection, translated from the electrodynamic to the molecular level. The virtual biohologram projected by the embryonic nervous system forms a three-dimensional pattern of resonant structures. These structures behave as acoustic waves, acting as field guides for flowing matter and energy. The holograms are "read" by an electromagnetic or acoustic field that carries the gene-wave information beyond the limits of the chromosome structure. The brain feeds on a field of cosmic noise. The Philosopher's Stone of infinite density condenses into visible space. All potential information about the Universe is holographically encoded in the spectrum of frequency patterns constantly bombarding us. There are no "things", just energetic events -- an electromagnetic universe, mind, and body, inseparable from wave upon waves in a veritable sea of panoramic noise. Noise correlates with movement and plays a cymatic role. Timelessness is the default mode of massively parallel noise. The sea of noise diffuses awareness across the entire vista.
