Please, let it load before viewing. Takin' it easy on a friday afternoon... This is a short film about the city of Plovdiv, the second largest city in Bulgaria and my home town. Unlike Sofia, (the largest) people here live a calm life and are not in a constant hurry and stress. A perfect place for living and raising children. This was shot on the central street of Plovdiv in 2 hours, between 6pm and 8pm, the light was perfect for filming. Shot on a Conon 5D Mark II with a Canon 70-200mm f.4 and a cheap photo tripod. Edited in Sony Vegas 8 Pro

This was shot January 5th for about an hour in the center of Sofia, Bulgaria. It was snowing and I had never filmed in snow before, so I decided to test how weatherproof my Canon 7D was. It worked just fine. I used two lenses for this shoot - Canon EF 70-200 f4 USM L and Sigma 17-70mm and a Benro tripod. I am glad that I went to shoot because today the temperatures were 10 degrees higher and all the snow was gone... All footage is 1280x720, 50p, shutter 1/100. Most of the clips were slowed down for slow motion, some are left as 50p. Enjoy!

Warning : NO SOUND! it's normal. choose your own music to play while watching this silent video. 250+ volunteers contributed to this 'hello world!' gallery to be screened at the local summer music festival and shared over the internet. snapshots from the event to see the context : http://www.cinema5d.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=16334 shot over 4 days, trespassers were invited to stop for a minute and have their picture taken. i aimed to portrait my hometown using only faces of its citizens. if you'd be walking down here, these are some of the people you'd passby... i met a lot of friendly peers and we had much fun making this so i would like to thank everyone who contributed to this project. enjoy!

This thursday's hot sunny afternoon ended suddenly in an overwhelming flow of water when a thunderstorm took over the city causing a flood and a little panic amongst drivers and residents. Hopefully i had the 5DmkII ready to capture some of these moments. Thanks to everyone involved.

Basic framing and shot composition - in a minute! No point in droning on and on about the Rule of Thirds and all that nonsense, but if you can keep just one idea in mind when setting up your shots, make it this one: Keep it interesting. - http://videopia.org

http://wp.me/p1gR39-4R Finally got to jump the GH2! It performed almost flawlessly. Indoor footage: Computar 12.5mm in 1:1 crop mode. Rest of the footage: 14-42mm kit lens Skydiving footage: ISO 160, 1/125, f16 24P 'Smooth' profile with everything set at -2. Footage smoothened out with FCP Smoothcam, Color graded with Colorista II. I was afraid that I would not get enough dynamic range like I was able to get with Canon T2i shot in Super Flat mode, but it performed quite well. Enough details were recorded in the shadows for me to stretch it out during post. Highlights seem to roll off quite nicely, not harsh like typical camcorders.
