The Yok and Sheryo are two Brooklyn based artists who created this unique mural in December 2012 on the streets of Fremantle in Western Australia (a town renowned for it's rich history/culture and its amazing 'fish and chips'). This project was made possible through John Butler and his amazing arts funding initiative known as 'The Seed Fund'. Fun little video... The rules were that a group of friends would give us 3 hours to develop, script and storyboard an idea based on a topic of their choosing. Directly after the 3 hours we were both limited to a very strict 30 minute window to film whatever footage we needed to create the piece. The topic they chose on the day was 'addiction' and the final piece had to be edited down to 90 seconds or less (plus credits). The competition was merely to stretch ourselves in being better film makers. The prize is bragging rights. :) I used a Canon 5dMkII with a standard 24mm-105mm f4 lens, a Zacuto rapid fire and Z-finder V2 for most of the 30 minutes of filming (love the Zacuto gear!). A miller 20 tripod was used for the doctor interview and a Zoom H4n for the sound. All natural lighting (who has time to set up lights with a 30 minute window!). Edited with Vegas Pro on a PC.
