Somerset - this film won some awards. It was my first film and much of it was learnt on the spot. It is a tour around the ancient county of Somerset dipping in and out of history and has many legends and much music. It is 28 minutes in length. The strange thing is that it gets better as it goes along, as if the progress of getting to grips with film making can be seen during the course of the film. By today's standards it is probably atrocious, but at the time dozens of people were in awe of the film. I'm putting it here for posterity. It became a template for a new type of travel film. The editing was learnt on the spot and completed in two weeks on a borrowed computer using Final Cut 1 (early!). The content on the borrowed hard drive were deleted two days later and I was left only with the Quicktime of my edit, which made it difficult to alter. It is a snapshot in time.Somerset - this film won some awards. It was my first film and much of it was learnt on the spot. This week we get a little smutty, with an old brown dog ... ale. We also seem to drink our crazy juice, cause we get a little crazy, and even a little gangsta! We pair this well balanced, tasty brown ale with an 5 year old gouda, a 2 year old Parma, and some awesome almond brittle. On Master Pairings with Dr. Bill, Brad join Bill in the kitchen to enjoy a delightful Lost Abbey beer, Lost & Found, which Bill pairs with portabello mushrooms with cheese.. Yum.
