      It has been nearly 80 years since Will Rogers died, but his legacy lives on at the Will Rogers Memorial Museum in Claremore. To ensure his legendary story can be thoroughly shared with future generations, the Cherokee Nation has partnered with the museum to fund a new HVAC system, creating a stable environment for the preservation of the Cherokee Kid’s collection. Cherokee Nation officials sponsored the installation of the $15,000 system that was recently installed.

        With the support of the Cherokee Nation, Dusten Brown announced plans Thursday to drop all pending litigation in the case of Adoptive Couple v. Baby Girl, better known as the “Baby Veronica” case, in both Oklahoma and Cherokee Nation courts. Brown says he made the decision after much careful thought and consideration as to what is best for his daughter long term.

The research study shows, with the $1.3 billion economic impact, the tribe’s activities directly and indirectly support more than 14,000 jobs and provide more than $559 million in income payments.
