This is the first draft of the first 2-1/2 minutes of a 9 minute video I'm making to illustrate the use of Pixelan's new SpiceFX6 Pan/Zoom Wizard. The article will be one of five about their latest software release. About it: - 9 minutes is the duration of Randon Myles' tune 'the sage chapter lxxxi' from his 'tao' album - We did a usual day-trip to Chicago on Monday and, as the Art Institute doesn't allow shooting video, I was still in the mode of taking stills with my 7 megapixel Canon PowerShot SD750 when we got to the corner of Michigan Avenue and the Chicago River. As usual I take groups of stills rather than singles. - Windows Live Photo Gallery took the 13 snapshots of the corner and automatically merged them into a composite. I'm awed by the way it not only merged them but 'corrected' the different perspective and lens distortions in the individual shots to make a composite with the straight and leveled vertical lines. - I've learned to run my composites through Bernadette who enhances them in Photoshop, and removes artifacts such as heads without bodies or vice-versa. For this one she also applied HDR effects. - I used Pixelan's new SpiceFX6 Pan/Zoom Wizard to make a custom visual effect and applied it in an MM2.6 project on a Windows 7 laptop. I added the beginning of Randon's tune and produced this HD1080 sized 'study' clip.... Tip: for the smoothest movement view it on an iPhone or iPod Touch....:) The other composites are from the inside of the Art Gallery. They'll be in the final full 9 minute movie. This photo album at facebook shows the 4 composites for the video... before and after image enhancing. http://www.facebook.com/album.php?id=717191189&aid=276626
