You are watching: vimeo.com/freddiedl/barcelonagardenresort2011 Part 3 of 3 takes us to beautiful city of Batangas where we were greeted with hospitality from Kathy's extended family at their family run business - the Barcelona Garden Resort. A great venue for any occasion mixing traditional backdrops of nipa huts and a chapel with lush, green gardens and a whimsical giant peacock. With all sorts of creatures running around in the day time and stargazing the clear sky night, it's a quiet haven away from the big city. It seems there is a theory in physics, written by mathematician Stephen Wolfram, that predicts this universe as being the result of a gigantic programmer, automated, in his version. Having read some physics or theories of mathematics I wasn't acquainted with this theory when doing this video. But some thought of it had entered my brain and I am delighted of course that some scientists seems to think there is something like a big programmer, whether as an automation or as a creator. This is the line of thought this video follows and in its simplicity of skill gives an idea of what man is compared to a big programer, who is in control. As well as many pictures may seem accidental, as well they follow a pattern, like some inexplicable movement the stars are making over millions of years, without much more of an explanation but that they are doing it. There is a sense in that seemingly accidental and awkward move. - So, meet the boy who doesn't want to be programmed. To what degree is he able to change the course of his life, whether there is a good God or a automated programming process? This is a reflection on what life is like. It is very reduced in skill and complexity. Partly, because man is, partly because I am technically. It still reflects on the position of man in front of either God or machine. Is there a gigantic drum to whose beat man is marching? Including you and I?

This short stars a man, a chicken, and the shirt they share. My role was happily doing everything on this film, including remixing Lalo Schiffrin's classic track, "Wide Willy." Special thanks to Lalo Schiffrin and Teresa Eastman for their blessing. This marked my first venture into a purely CG realm - there's much more to come. Enjoy!
