It's a short film - a visual poem - about that moment in New York when you emerge from the subway and find yourself in a new and sometimes unexpected world. I photographed Yummy in San Francisco in 2007. We pretended it was her Chinatown apartment, when in fact it was my place near Union Square. Yummy was a giggly young gal who enjoyed twirling around my roof on a sunny afternoon to the delight of my super-8 film and anyone within visibility. She wore a silk green robe and played with a pink umbrella. It was nice to hear her talk about drinks, boys, photography and art as well. Yummy was a suicide girl back in the day, but as of now I get the feeling she's going for her masters in computer software or piano or Chinese American Studies. I could be wrong, but her silky skin and perfect breasts are quite right. ~ Andrew

A montage that I edited late 2010/early 2011 under my Bottoms Up Productions label. Was a viral hit, featured on several websites that include The Huffington Post, NY Mag, The Daily What, and critic Roger Ebert's blog. Also appeared on popular French television show, "L'Oeil de Links". Highly praised in particular by acclaimed filmmakers Edgar Wright and Sam Raimi: http://www.edgarwrighthere.com/2011/02/18/glove-actually/ Watch Part Two here: https://vimeo.com/41715318 Full list of films at: http://mobetterblogging.blogspot.com/2011/01/glove-actually-films-revealed.html Follow Bottoms Up Productions on Twitter at: http://www.twitter.com/bottomsupprod

Some common and some uncommon places to see in Oakland. The quiet emptiness at sunrise. Tai Chi every morning. Farmer's Market on the weekend. A game of chess. Groceries in Chinatown. Comfort food at the truck. And basketball at the park. 1st Place Winner of the Oakland Convention and Visitors Bureau's "2010 I Love Oakland!
