            Felicia Jackson, a Tri-C student and staff member at The Voice, interviews Nic Balthazar about his films, Time of My Life and Ben X, which were screened at the 37th Cleveland International Film Festival. Time of My Life, a documentary, takes a look at the life of Mario Verstraete, the first man to use Belgium's new euthanasia law. Verstraete, who suffered from multiple sclerosis as an adult, refused to suffer a long, painful death and fought relentlessly to get the law enacted. His story is told through the eyes of his doctor and best friend. Ben X takes us into the real and virtual world of Ben, who is autistics. The school boy escapes his suffering and tormentors by delving into the virtual world of an online game full of wonder and friendship. In the real world, there is something ticking inside.

                      Felicia Jackson, a Tri-C student and staff member of The Voice, interviews Japanese director Shigeru Ota about his film, "Do You Know What My Name Is?", which was screened at the 37th Cleveland International Film Festival. Co-directed by Naomi Kazama, the documentary is based on research by neuroscientist Ryuta Kawashima, whose therapy program involving simple math, reading and writing exercises has helped thousands of Japanese dementia patients regain cognitive skills. The Eliza Jennings Senior Care Network in Cleveland became for fist site in the U.S. to conduct a six-month trial based on Kawashima's research.
