    • Autumn. A short timelapse film

      03:20

      from Patryk Kizny Added

The short was shot partially during the Jodlow Star Party 2010 in the middle of September, where we did serious testing of DitoGear™ Slider pre-production units and also during a few recent days at surprising surroundings of Wrocław, Poland. What I love about this slider is that it works either in horizontal and vertical mode giving the option for crane-like shots. It adds a lot to your shooting style being very compact and portable at the same time. Needless to say it works not only as a time-lapse dolly, but also as a video slider at higher speeds. The short, however, features only timelapse shots. As you get more and more gear it is sometimes difficult to keep focused on shooting. The slider is very easy and quick to setup and provides a really intuitive and convenient user interface. I can virtually start shooting within 3 minutes on a location. It is a huge step forward comparing to my previous DIY timelapse dolly which took ma about an hour to setup. If you're interested in the DitoGear™ Slider you'll find more details at www.ditogear.com I am also planning on writing a more detailed product review on lookycreative.com. Stay tuned. Enjoy the film! ------------- NOTE Read about my HDR timelapse workflow here: http://lookycreative.com/know-how/timelapse-postproduction-workflow/ Follow Patryk Kizny www.vimeo.com/kizny www.facebook.com/kizny www.twitter.com/PatrykKizny

watch the second part: https://vimeo.com/79845153 marcoschott.com After I installed the new firmware 1.5 on my Pocket Cinema Camera, I shot some footage to check how this little camera can hold up the image in different scenarios. Coming from a Sony FS700 (without raw) I decided to shoot some scenes where I usually have to stress the 8-bit codec with artefacts, banding, etc. First scene (dark mood): Handeld with small Rig 19mm Sigma 2.8 Lens (no aperture control!) Mostly shot with 800ASA, the last pictures with 1600ASA and a bit of Neat Video to reduce the noise Macro shots: Shot on tripod with lots of extension tubes for macro Helios 44M2 (M42 Leica Mount) Pentacon 29mm 2.8 Sadly, I underexposed these shots about two stops - fixed it in Davinci Resolve, used a bit of Neat Video, too Daylightscene: Shot at 800ASA No noise reduction! Tokina 11-16 (stopped down to F6.3) Samyang/ Rokinon 35mm 1.5 Cine Version Samyang/ Rokinon 85mm 1.4 Heliopan Vario ND I tested out different LUTs from Vision Color Osiris in Resolve. Workflow: Cinema DNG -> Davinci Resolve 10 Lite -> ProRes Proxy Premiere XML -> Davinci Resolve 10 Lite -> ProRes 4444 & XML Premiere -> ProRes Proxy -> Vimeo (Philip Bloom method, thanks btw!) What are Tags?

                      Tags

Tags are keywords that describe videos. For example, a video of your Hawaiian vacation might be tagged with "Hawaii," "beach," "surfing," and "sunburn."
