For updates and more adventures follow me on twitter http://twitter.com/andrewwonder and check out my website http://andrewwonder.com This is a film I made after some adventures underground with Steve Duncan (http://www.undercity.org) last summer. We also have a teaser video which you can watch on my vimeo page (http://vimeo.com/5752275). For more information about the video and our other adventures please contact Andrew Wonder (Director/Cinematographer) at andrewwonder@mac.com. Steve and I just completed another underground expedition with Norwegian explorer Erling Kagge (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erling_Kagge). It was featured in a three page article on the front page of the NY Times metro section and was written by Alan Feuer (http://www.nytimes.com/2011/01/02/nyregion/02underground.html). We were also covered by NPR's Jacki Lyden whose report will be aired on 1/2/11 and posted on NPR's site (http://www.npr.org/2011/01/02/132482428/into-the-tunnels-exploring-the-underside-of-nyc). Shot on a canon 5d mkii with canon 24 f/1.4 (version 1) with the zacuto rapid fire, Zoom H4N and a sennheiser g2 wireless lav. The zacuto was really great at being there when I needed it but also staying out of the way. Please leave a comment below and let me know what you think. Thanks for watching!

"For days we were searching for hangars, warehouses and big empty loft spaces. We got the opposite : it was incongruous, it was bloody exciting. We were going to shoot Battles in a rococo style lounge in The Hotel de Ville, the magnificent city hall and mayor’s office in the centre of Paris." A little promo we threw together for Tiffen showing what we can do with the Tiffen Dfx filter suite. We used Dfx version 2 for this piece. All of the footage was achieved with the steadicam flyer and pilot. We tried to throw in a nice mix of steadicam shots to really show how much value they add for us. The versatility in these filters is rather remarkable- but more than that is how much of a look you can achieve with much less render time than other common filter sets. With this piece we tried to do some more basic looks on some of the clips and some more advanced secondary grading on others. Their basic color corrector filter is very robust and work very well in conjunction with the gel filters or some of the other film like filters. What we really enjoyed about this software was how well thought out the names and functions were. It was very easy to identify what a filter would do based on what it was called- which makes much easier to get familiar with a plug-in suite. Individual filters acted much more like building blocks than all in one looks as well, which lets you create a custom look and feel and get exactly what you want. In this way, it is also much more repeatable and leads to a much more thorough understanding of what your actually doing to your footage. P. (1280 x 720)"HD 720p" This is a High Definition video of a rather large project that I took on in the summer of 2008. The entire video is one single motion graphic constructed of nothing but photographs. The true challenge of this project was a matter of time, travel and lots of creative ideas to produce a visually stimulating "pull" into the world of motion graphics. It took 3 days and 467 miles of travel to get the images I needed for this, however because of the dangers lurking in Los Angeles after hours, I had invited my colleague and good friend "SeptemberSky" to help watch my back as we both trekked through the downtown area with some very tempting equipment. Our experience payed off and we came back with more than enough assest to begin construction on this project. The next challenge came with the time I had left to strategically cut and assemble every photo into one seamless video. The post production phase lasted 4 weeks and produced a 50 second video composed of 793 photos. In essence, this single project pushed my abilities with motion graphics to new heights. like most people... we first saw a hyperlapse and thought, "how the heck...??". beyond curious, we decided to figure out how to do it. traveling around our home base of Philadelphia over the past couple weeks, through some trial and error we were able to uncover the steps behind hyperlapsing and were able to string a few together to show you! (also a couple regular old timelapses) it's our first run at it... so is isn't as polished as i assume we'll be on some future projects... but we couldn't wait any longer to share with everyone. behind the scenes tutorial will be following in the near future! www.mohoweddings.com

Edit, pack, jump on a plane to San Francisco. A wonderful way to spend Christmas eve! We arrived a day early and spent time around town filming with a monopod and the very handy Cyclops from Cinevate. Vivian and Chao were so gracious and we loved spending time with them and their friends! This wedding was held at the gorgeous San Francisco City Hall. Rebecka and I are looking forward to shooting there again (sometime) soon! -M. Shooters Commentary coming soon (with behind the scenes footage). "We were all exhausted, but the band was dead tired. They were less rigorous, drifting, especially John, struggling with his drumkit despite the fatigue. Playing Futura, that night, was like fighting the beast. Their beast."
