    • National Telework Week - Intel & Airtasker

      from Airtasker Added 375 0 0

To celebrate the world’s first National Telework Week, Airtasker teamed up with Intel and the crew at Pedestrian TV to create this short video about how our community marketplace is allowing people to create their own flexible working style and increase the time available to spend with family and the community. About National Telework Week: The man behind National Telework Week is the Aussie Minister for the Digital Economy, Stephen Conroy, who says that for our next generation of workers, IT connectivity will need to be seamless to let people pick up work from any location whether at home or at their local café – and we agree. Airtasker is excited to have already created tons of telework micro-jobs which Mr Conroy thinks will result in cost-savings, productivity gains, increased workforce flexibility, expanded supply of skilled labour and reduced stress on the environment, particularly air quality. We’re excited about the future of jobs and employment!

        from SYCF Added 44 0 0

SYCF application to the Nesta Innovation in Giving 'Local Platform' funding stream. Matching the resources that are available with the community need. We will be working with a wide range of partners including Chambers of Commerce, CVS's/Voluntary Action Groups, the Media, businesses and local statutory bodies. Community Marketplace from SYCF. SYCF will work with individuals, businesses and other organisations that are committed to making a difference in their communities. We will help them think innovatively about how they can provide assistance to communities. We will secure funding and donated resources that community and voluntary groups can use to directly tackle important issues in communities. Donated resources might include a team of volunteers from a business to assist with a community project, providing spare meeting places for groups or pro bono work such as IT support or bookkeeping. We will build a ‘community marketplace’ where communities can make a request for support, and organisations and individuals can offer support and resources.
