    • Ex Nihilo – The Girl Who Dresses The Universe

      from Stefano Pasotti Added 16.9K 368 15

Out of nothing Matter was created. Out of Matter a Goddess was born. A Goddess inlaid with Stars dances in the Emptiness. The Goddess' Dance creates Light so that Shadows can now exist. The Universe as we know it is created, filled with its dim distant dying Stars. A Sphere rustles between Goddess' hands. Earth is born. HAMMOCK'S CHOICE: Honorable mention #1 Lensbaby Blog article: http://lensbaby.com/blog/film-video/film-video-interview-with-stefano-pasotti-3d-graphics-specialist/ Nofilmschool article: http://nofilmschool.com/2013/11/stefano-pasotti-effects-incamera-ex-nihilo/ I want to thank Moovie Rental Milano for providing camera and equipment, my father for helping me out at the very beginning of the editing when I bogged down and all people that made this project possible. Everything was shot internally on the Canon EOS C500 at 60 fps in 720p with C-Log. Being blacklight bulbs a very weak source ISO settings were between 2500 and 3200 but still all clips were very very clean. For the abstract shots I used a Lens Baby Control Freak with an f 2.8 Aperture Disk and sometimes a Lens Baby +4 Macro filter attached on. For the rest I used Zeiss Compact Prime 50mm T 2.1 shot wide open. I also used a Vari-Star filter for different shots to enhance light-rays and to make the colors glow a little bit more. I edited in Premiere Pro CS6 and exported into After Effects CS6 for color-correction and visual effects. The earth was modeled using Maya and rendered with V-Ray. -directed and edited: Stefano Pasotti -make up artist: Sara Bonzi, Marzia Parini -model: Elisa Spinelli -music: Hammock – Cold Front (Departure Songs)

                from Freek Zonderland Added 93K 177 13

We came together to make a short film in response to the incomprehensibly horrifying way 2015 has started. It expanded into something of a statement of anger, frustration, disappointment, and grief. Maybe it's recognizable, maybe it's silly, maybe it's offensive. But overall, we hope this short film will add to a conversation that we need to keep having. Yesterday 'Now What?' premiered as a part of the 'Everyday Propaganda' exhibition at the International Film Festival Rotterdam. And today it's already available online! This is my personal showreel 2009-2012. Sadly I can't show you everything, because most of the work is not online or I'm not allowed to show it. I would like to say thank you to so many people. Three years ago I started filmmaking and my first "professional" camera was a Canon 7D. A big hug to my daughter Annabelle. You were the reason why I bought a camera, because I just wanted to capture your first years on planet earth. This was the beginning of my career. Also huge thanks to my friends Nino Leitner, Philip Bloom, Frank Suffert and to my clients! http://www.wiegaertnerfilms.com http://www.facebook.com/wiegaertnerfilms http://twitter.com/wiegaertner Most of the clips shot with the Canon 7D, Sony F3 (S-Log), Canon C300, Nikon D800, Nikon D4. "MER" is inspired by the harsh grasp of consumerism, and how it can make us blind by greed in the pursuit for material goods. The story is set in a post apocalyptic world, where a group of nomads collect the remains of a lost society. But as their collection grows bigger, so does their desire for more. All that glitters is not gold. - This video was largely shot on Karmøy, an island located on the west coast of Norway, but also 1883 meters above the ocean on the peak of Gaustatoppen, a vast mountain overlooking 1/6th of the country. The large flying factories were made by Steamheads, an Oslo-based VFX-house known for their work on films like Harry Potter and Elysium, and the rest of the post-production was completed at Hocus Focus in Oslo, one of Norway’s largest post-production companies. - Starring: Fredrik Skogsrud Forrester, Gunnar Dundas, Orleo Berisha Written and directed by Kristoffer Klunk (kristofferklunk.com) Presented by Hocus Focus (hocusfocus.no) DOP: John-Erling Holmenes Fredriksen Focus Puller: Annicken Aasheim Post Production Producer: Lene Albertsen Post Production Producer: Ole-Arild Svendsen Post Production Assistant: Elin Holde Hegsvold VFX Supervisor: Bengt Ove Sannes / Marius Andre Jacobsen (steamheads.no) Colourgrading & compositing: Haavard Albertsen Production Designer: Mirjam Veske Costume Designer: Mari Melilot Production Assistant: Morten Kjennerud Post Production Trainee: Elin Holde Hegsvold Editor: Henrik Berge (Hocus Focus / hocusfocus.no) Ship Design / Animation: Nils Arne Brekke Sound Design: Erik Ljunggren THANKS: Bård Røssevold, Eirik Einarsen Vikene, Hilde Pettersen, Ørjan Baugstø Iversen, Sturla Nyborg, Rover Haugaland scouts, Halvor Haukass (gaustatoppen.no), Espen Zubi (gripservice.no), Runaround film.
