"YUME NO MINATO - HARBOR OF DREAMS" -A dance performance / -Eine Tanzperformance Premiere: 03.03.2013, Suntory Hall, Blue Rose Room, Tokyo Regie / Direction - Tomi Paasonen Musik / Music - Inoue Yuji a.k.a Dill Live Cajón - Satoru Hirashima Lichtdesign / Lighting Design - Yuji Sekiguchi(balance inc DESIGN) Tontechiker / Sound Technical - Nobuya Kaneko Inspizient / Stage manager - Takayuki Kuroda(ball inc) Produktionsleiter / Production Manager - Miki Sato Organisiert von / Organized by - Minato City Im Zusammenarbeit mit / Cooperated with - Minato City Sports, Community, Culture and Health foundation Produziert von / Produced by - Architanz inc.(studioARCHITANZ) This piece is a neighborhood project, co-produced by the local government of Tokyo's Minato Prefecture, the harbor area of Tokyo, and Architanz Studios - Tokyo. A prerequisite of participation was to be a resident of the Minato-ku prefecture. An open lottery among applicants was held to pick 54 performers of all ages. The cast, consisting of laymen from all walks of life aged 6-69 and 4 professional dancers, engaged in workshops and a 6 week creative process with choreographer and director Tomi Paasonen. Before the rehearsal process started, he asked the participants three things: the reason they wanted to participate in this project? What the future dreams of their childhood had been, and how these dreams had evolved throughout their lives. The piece is a dance documentary, meaning, that each individual's story is embedded in and embodied by his or her own individual movement quality. The interactive creative process has led to choreography that is rooted in documentary layers, thus creating both a collective portrait of Minato-ku and of the group itself. Task-based improvisation methods allow each participant to interpret each task through their own unique movement language, character. Device methods were used to let the participants choreograph their own materials to express their own vision of what contemporary dance is for them, resulting in a multifaceted spectrum of dance forms, and a collective body that goes beyond genres yet connects trans-generationally.

This performance starts from reading a book at a desk. Nothing is written in this book. The monotonous movement to turn the book is going to link up with our living life that is repeated everyday. The boy who appear in this blank book lurks in everyone's mind. It is recording the passing moments as a placid heartbeat. And he put a question "the meaning of life" to audience. This work was made after the huge earthquake in Japan, and is felt "to live with someone" and "to live alone". -The sun and the moon were always together but always fighting. God decided to separate the hours for the sun and moon, and placed a boy to tear the days off. The boy tore the days off, after day, he tore the days off. One day, he grew tired of tearing the days off. He wish the day vanished but... This story was published as a picture book in 2013.

…Clone is an extremely rare, towering performance in which every thought, every movement - everything, is in its proper place. And with a purpose.” From the press critic (Ženja Leiler for national daily newspaper Delo) Matjaž Farič je za koreografijo predstave Klon prejel najvišjo nagrado PRIX d’AUTEUR 1998 za koreografijo zmagovalne predstave RAM (skrajšano verzijo Klon) na prestižnem svetovnem bienalnem koreografskem tekmovanju s sedežem v Seine-Saint-Denis v Franciji.
