We had no idea we were going to be making a Fly Lo music vid the day we shot him on top of the AT&T building. But the whole setup was just too photogenic not to keep shooting and shooting, so we did - while he continued wrecking it on the 1's and 2's. Take that, mixed with other scenes we had already shot and we had enough for a video. We were kinda bummed that no one had made a music video for our favorite song of his off of Cosmogramma, "Galaxy in Janaki." So my brother Forest and I turned to each other in unison and shrugging, we both agreed, "why not?" So I see Fly Lo at the Low End Theory in LA after he gets back from a tour across the world, and he lets me know how much that song means to him because he wrote it for his Mom. He thought the visuals didn't completely match up to the vision he thought of directly correlating to his Mother, so it would have to be a bonus video. But don't we all like a little bonus sometimes? Cheers, -Jon Directed by Jon & Forest Casey www.flying-lotus.com www.caseytography.com

Here's a quick example of my motorized slider's ability to go vertical. The slider is pulling a Canon 60D with both a Zacuto Gorilla plate and Manfrotto quick release plate, the heavy Tokina 11-16mm, and I even threw on an LED light just for bragging rights. ;) Servo handles it all with ease, super smooth and doesn't stutter once, which means there's plenty of room to go heavier if needed (battery grip, etc.). Secondary shot was done on an iPhone 4, and yeah, it's that hard to keep steady... Track is 'Do the Astral Plane' by Flying Lotus, from the album Cosmogramma.
