Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ after his conversion on the road to Damascus, begins his letter to the church at Philippi by declaring himself a slave rather than an apostle. Not only that, he presents himself as a joyful slave! Slavery here in America has a history of abuse and war. Therefore, the notion of a person being bound to another in a servant/master relationship is hard to comprehend as being even remotely positive. We must understand this relationship between ourselves and God if we are to also understand the benefits of being a joyful slave to Jesus Christ. This message was presented by Craig Miller, senior pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Cedarville, Ohio Sunday, February 15, 2015.

For a short book, the Book of Philippians has a lot to say to us today. The believers at Philippi needed help to get their "joy" back. They were a congregation close to Paul's heart and had aided him time and again. Perhaps they had grown weary in well-doing. Or maybe they just needed to focus on where their joy came from. Craig Miller, senior pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Cedarville, Ohio leads us in a survey/introduction of this book and points out the theme of joy and the thrust of keeping our focus on Christ who is, after all, the source and fulfillment of that joy. This message was presented Sunday, February 1, 2015

The church at Philippi was one of the shining examples of a missions-minded congregation that consisted of a great variety of Believers from all walks of life. Of all the churches that the Apostle Paul wrote letters to, this church had the least number of problems that needed to be addressed. Philippians is full of verses that we love to memorize and quote as well as some very significant doctrines about Jesus Christ. Each year Craig Miller, senior pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Cedarville, Ohio, takes the opportunity to remind the congregation of the numbers attained during the year and of his vision and intent for the coming year. It is good for any congregation to be reminded of where we were and were, Lord willing, we are headed.

Love is the theme of the final Sunday of Advent. God so loved the world that He gave His Son at Christmas to be the propitiation for our sins. God lavished love upon us by sending one of the Trinity to be born, live among us and willingly give Himself so that we might be reconciled with God. What an amazing gift! This message was presented by Craig Miller, senior pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Cedarville, Ohio Sunday, December 21, 2014.

Today's message is about the culmination of a long journey by some very wise men who could see the coming of an extraordinary event that everyone else missed - the birth of a king! They were aware of it because they were taught well to see the declarations of God in the heavens about His plan for His people Israel and the whole world. When they saw the star go before them to Bethlehem, they knew their quest was almost over. The Bible records their "exceeding great joy" when otherwise there was no joy to be found. This message was presented by Craig Miller, Senior Pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Cedarville, Ohio Sunday, December 14, 2014. The pageant was presented by the children of the primary department of Grace Baptist Church.

Today is a special day in the life of our church as we celebrate sixty-years of serving the Lord in Cedarville, Ohio. Today is also our Harvest Offering Sunday when we collect money to be used for needs outside of our own congregation. Our senior pastor Craig Miller gave the message by taking us to 1 Samuel 7, where Samuel calls the children of Israel to repentance and renewal of their commitment to serve God. Samuel raises a standing stone, like the one pictured, and called it Eben-ezer, as a marker that God had helped His people this far. As our congregation gives an offering of gratitude to God for what He has done for us in 2014, we look to 2015 in anticipation of what God will continue to do with us in furthering His Kingdom.
