:) http://parapente.ffvl.fr/cfd/liste/2010/vol/20106178 musique: SIGUR ROS - Svefn G Englar

Shot and edited by Peter Nicoll at www.sl-films.com Music Courtesy of Peligro Music and Sound. www.peligromusic.com Edit of footage shot with an FS100 at the Fulcrum/JBVCOACHING Cyclocross Clinic. I didn't have a plan except I was invited to come to the clinic by the talented Chris Mayhew who coaches me from time to time when his boss John Verhuel isn't. www.jbvcoaching.com http://www.fulcrumcoaching.com/ Jeremy Powers made the show with his amazing love for the sport of Cyclocross shining through in every frame. Such a professional. Rapha, Focus, you lucky, lucky people. http://www.jpows.com/ Jeremy is sponsored by Rapha. I don't own any of their products...(ahem) http://rapha-focus.cx/2011/09/07/fulcrumjbv-cyclocross-clinic-with-jeremy/ TECH I can confirm that the FS100 is indeed a camera. I had it for the weekend and really didn't get a chance to rig it to my liking. I was most curious about how it handled in general, how it handled motion and how it handled being run around with all fracking day in full heat and humidity, it was rather hot. Primary focus was on using the S&Q setting on the camera and also experimenting with a 45 degree shutter. I only used one battery and shot from 8:30am until 7pm. I used 4 lenses all canon mount lenses the 24-70L, the 70-200L, the Tokina 11-16 2.8 and the www.ducloslenses.com moded Zeiss 50 1.4 ZF with a permanent Canon mount In order to shoot at a 2.8-1.4 in various lighting conditions I had to use a 1.2 ND and 0.3 ND filter stacked in a Cokin p-filter holder (note to self, buy mattebox asap) and it worked out rather well. The camera is astonishingly well suited for low light but really, really, really, should have had ND built in. You'll see where it blows out occasionally when the sun comes from behind a cloud killing shots, but I used em anyway. I shot in the AbelCine tech AB_HiLit Picture Profile (you can check out ABs FS100 Picture Profiles here http://blog.abelcine.com/2011/07/25/fs100-scene-files-from-abelcine/ ) and the footage is pretty much undisturbed except for a the first half or so where I put Curves on just to look at range and for the hell of it. Not really a proper edit, I am still learning Premiere and that still feels like brushing someone else's teeth. But I figured that it would be best if something was edited before I forgot I shot this...(its happened). So I am getting something out there for my (CycloCross) people since this will most likely make them all hot and bothered and ready to run around in spandex at a European tractor pull. AKA, the best sport there is. Hup. Hup. Buttercup. (as they say in the Boulder)

Dedicated to Sant'Antonio del Fuoco (who protects us from fire), the bonfire is an important event for the Community. Young men and boys climb the stack and pick the orange cross. Fish, meat, wine, bread, sweets, company, lot of love. Every year fewer people, but a strong sense of membership and identity. Thanks once again to the organizing committee. This is some Christmas RnD I worked on for around 4 days, I just got a new machine before Christmas and wanted to learn the basics of Houdini's FLIP. I planned to do a WhiteWater Sim also, but found out that Houdini Apprentice does not let you export through Alembic ROP so I plan if I get time to PRT The Whitewater and render through Frost as tiny spheres which is nearly as quick as rendering through Alembic proxy. I am still working on a big RealFlow shot, and right now I perfer RealFlow alot more than Houdini! (Houdini is very fast though) Meshed Through Frost and Velocities via Krakatoa rendered as a ExtraTex Pass and comp'd into a Refraction pass to get the really nice bubble refraction whitewater. Sim Time Info on Video, Comp'd in AE. I also did some more Ocean Shader RnD to get more Attenuation/Depth in shader. Note its not SSS. The Greeble is done through the amazing Modifier by Max Klanky. Thanks to Graham, Sam Taylor, Igor for there help! Blog Article I wrote, quite detailed on the Workflow of this test and rendering through Max/PRT- http://niallhornvfx.blogspot.co.uk/2014/12/houdini-flip-greeble-splash-rnd-last-of.html Thanks For Watching, Happy New Year- N

CRITICAL FILM - A documentary about a very special weekend in July of 2010. A weekend of unconventional cyclocross racing. It only took 126 km of dirt, gravel and cobblestones devided in 4 stages between Dresden and Leipzig, 80 racers, 9 hours, 35°C, 600 liters of water, a ton of food, a world cup quarterfinal and many many enthusiastic souls, to make this an unbelievable experience. They call it 'CRITICAL DIRT - A study in crossification'. e r t z u i ° film has captured this event along the dirt with our very own perspective.
