Come fly with us, and get a unique perspective on our OH retirement community! In our newest video you'll see an aerial view of the 150 wooded acres of Laurel Lake Retirement Community in Hudson, Ohio. This short video clip takes you high above Laurel Lake's campus with its attractive New England-style homes and outdoor living spaces. Enjoy the ride! Remarkably, only half of Laurel Lake's 150-acre property has been developed. The remaining land is preserved as green space -- undisturbed woodlands, wetlands and rolling meadows -- and outdoor recreational areas including three stocked fishing lakes, a winding 5-mile nature walk, two large picnic pavilions, public and private gardens, and a 3-hole practice golf course. Better yet, the scenic 33,000 acre Cuyahoga Valley National Park -- Ohio's only national park -- is just 4 miles from Laurel Lake's front doorstep.

This video is a visual reflection upon the line from Jean Valentine's poem The River at Wolf: "Blessed are they who remember / that what they now have they once longed for." The river is a symbol of movement. In this instance, I see the water as an analogy for the ephemeral. Solomon writes in Ecclesiastes: "All streams run to the sea, but the sea is not full." When we finally get something our heart longs for, it is easy to forget that we once longed for it. We fixate on what is next. --- Music: Brian Eno & Harold Budd, Against the Sky, The Pearl Poetry: Jean Valentine, The River at Wolf, The Poetry Foundation Video: Cuyahoga Valley National Park

This is my video from the Towpath Marathon on Sunday November 3rd, 2013 I ran slow but at about 21.5 miles I decided I wasn't going to get passed by anyone else the rest of the race, and I would try to pass people and once I passed them I'd stay in the lead... This created some fantastic competition between Wesley Harton and Myself! Thanks Wes for making this a Marathon to Remember! Finish Strong and Be Blessed!

This program was created to answer the question of what happened to the last regularly scheduled steam engine in service in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The program shares the history of this proud locomotive, which includes starring in the open scenes from the baseball movie, "The Natural". What Happened to the 4070 was produced in 1995, only four years after making her last run. Today the 4070 rests in the B & O Round House on West 3rd street in Cleveland, Ohio. Please visit www.midwestrailway.org to learn about the current condition of the 4070. Please do not call or send mail to the contact info at the end of the film. Thank You.
