Giglio on White documents Veronica Mainetti, President of Sorgente Group of America, as she becomes newly tasked with redeveloping the Tribeca building 60 White into luxury condominiums. With development underway, Veronica enlists her friend Daniel Fickle, a photographer and filmmaker, to capture the story as it unfolds firsthand without any real blueprint to dictate what must happen in order for the film to take shape. All that Veronica knows is that something is inherently different about this project. Its expansiveness seems to go beyond the normal bounds of private investment into something more public. As the cameras are rolling, the most wonderful thing happens. Slowly, as the conversation between experts and laborers and investors and creatives grows from a murmur into the roar of cultural dialogue, the story takes shape. Veronica does everything in her power to maintain the existing structure of the building. She decides that everything else must be locally sourced. She emphasizes that modern technology must be utilized in order to achieve progress. But perhaps most importantly, Veronica realizes that it’s not just the preservation of a beautiful cast-iron mid-rise building in New York City that’s at stake: The future of development itself is at stake. And Veronica’s role in redeveloping and modernizing this building has become a guiding light to one of the most important social issues of our time. How can we progress and sustain at the same time? DANIEL FICKLE'S artistry is diverse. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia and spent his youth contributing to Atlanta’s underground music scene. His natural affinity for songwriting had him touring as a member of multiple bands, including Portrait and The Station Myth. In his early twenties, he combined his creative and commercial interests and moved to New York to start his professional career as a photographer and filmmaker. While in New York, Daniel paid his way as an instructor at the famed NY Film Academy. He quickly gained a reputation for his camera work, film scores, and creative vision as a director. After being awarded “Best Film” festival wins, Ebert and Roper “Picks of the Week,” and official selections to Sundance, Daniel started a photography and film agency where he could further develop his creative vision. He formed TWO PENGUINS PRODUCTIONS and within a few years, it had offices in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Portland, Oregon, with a client portfolio including GQ, Nike, InStyle, J.Crew, KEEN Footwear, and Gilt Groupe. His work has been televised throughout France, featured as “Staff Picks” on Vimeo, Motionographer, and Daily Motion, and selected in over 90 film festivals, including SXSW. He has been awarded two Webby Honoree titles as Director of the series ‘GQ Rules’ and the short film ‘A House, A Home.’ His photography includes work for GQ Magazine, InStyle, Chase Bank, and KEEN Footwear. And yet, Daniel’s creative outlook has always remained the same, irreverently sophisticated. He splits his time between New York & Portland, with recent photography campaigns in Guatemala & Greenland.

Any of Daniel Fickle's Producers will tell you that his projects always start with him saying "It should be pretty simple to pull together..." and the next thing you know you're convincing industrial train yards to let you film on their trestle 100 ft above the Columbia River, designing and constructing mythical puppets, tracking down rare, and very specific limousines, or figuring out the mechanics of launching crustacean-sized rocket ships. The Mount Baldy Adventure is Andy Persing, Ryan Smith, and Daniel Fickle taking a journey to the legendary Mount Baldy full pipe in California. Good times were had and gaps were hopped and a skateboard was recovered from the gap. All the PA boys back east were in mind while riding the full pipe and we could only think, "If Ty was here..." Casey Neill came to us to create a video for the title track of his upcoming album "All You Pretty Vandals" and we were immediately inspired by the depth of this rock anthem and the lyrics that call out every human's tendency to build something beautiful and then break it into a million pieces. We chose beautiful eastern Oregon as our backdrop for the hilarious brutality Casey has willingly arranged to have inflicted on himself from the back of a seriously sexy Triumph. We also dished out a whole lot of misery on an innocent J.Crew Ludlow suit. Sorry about that, suit. Bloody Amateur, (the new solo project from NYC guitarist/songwriter Andy Comer). ‘Shed Some Weight’ is the first video to be released for his debut LP (released March 5, 2013 via Teen-Beat). The video is a collaboration between Andy Comer and long-time friend, award-winning filmmaker Daniel Fickle. The two began working together in 2008 while Andy was Multimedia Editor at GQ, and have worked together on numerous commercial and creative projects in the years since. Daniel's previous work has taken home honors from SXSW, was featured on FKR.TV, and he was recently awarded a Webby Honoree title for his music video 'A House, A Home'. The video is a coming-of-age story, staged entirely on a moving railway car, and inspired by events from Andy’s teen years. Daniel wanted to capture the frenetic energy and constant change experienced by teenagers coming into adulthood and “shedding weight”, literally and figuratively. We see a progression of confidence, built through learning that first chord on the guitar, knowing how to pair your socks to your trousers and, naturally, getting that first kiss. The dramatic visuals and bold performance by Eleven Becenti make this a first class debut for Bloody Amateur. CAST Eleven Becenti, Reed Sherbrooke, Katie McFarland, Cody Troxel, Sara Fanger, Riley Stewart, & Rowan Singley Shot on the Canon EOS C300 at Gunderson in Portland, Oregon.
