Using my iPhone to shoot a quick tour of the shop where I build the D|Focus. Part 1 looks at the back where we do most of the assembly and packaging. I shot and edited this entirely on the iPhone 4.

Just a quick evening flight to test out my new Panasonic 7-14mm lens for my GH1. Super small, light and wide, I think its a perfect lens for mounting a GH1 on a hang glider. I had the camera mounted as far aft as I could get it, with 1.5 lb of counter balance in the nose. The glider flew just fine and I didn't notice any difference in pitch pressure or stall. Shot in 720 60p mode. No sound during some of the speed changes. ...planning to do much more with this camera/lens combo in the future

Just a few random aviation clips from a recent trip to New Jerusalem Airport near Tracy, California. We were there for an aero-tow clinic and to lean to be hang glider aerobatic judges. I was able to film just a few of the routines we saw. Shot with the GH1 w/ kit lens @720 60p

Shot in 720 60p Testing out a new camera boom, I had a 2 foot strait boom mounted to the crossbar exiting the sail through the side wire hole, pointing strait down. Worked pretty well, but was a bit wobbly, definitely wouldn't want to put a heavier camera out there like that. Will need to figure a more sturdy mount if I am to put my GH1 out there. Yes I appear to be hanging quite feet high

Today I got a chance to go flying with my new GoPro HD Hero camera (Thanks to Ryan from http://www.wingsoverwasatch.com Not much special with this as editing the HD h.264 files from this camera are very much a pain. Will probably need to transcode in the future. I'm generally pleased with the image quality. Not nearly as good as my GH1, but MUCH cheaper and much easier to mount. Shot at 720 60p. I wanted to try out the 1080 mode, but I guess there is less field of view in that mode. Did a few speed changes toward the beginning to see what the slow motion looked like. Footage was color graded with Magic Bullet Looks to correct some chromatic aberration and increase contrast and saturation. Music is "Lazy Eye" by Silversun Pickups

*Slight recut with a bit of color grading with Magic Bullet Looks Just a quick fly one evening from Marshall Peak to test out my GH1 with Olympus 8mm f/3.5 fisheye lens. I am really pleased with this lens. The Field of view is amazingly large and its super sharp. There isn't even any chromatic aberration that I can see. Its also not all that expensive (for a nice camera lens) $669 at BHphoto. Although you will need a 4/3rds to micro 4/3rds adapter and the auto focus does not work. This is also an excellent example of "convergence" as I could switch between HD video and stills. http://www.flickr.com/photos/designbydave51/sets/72157622289353523/ Filmed at 720 60p Stills shot in hq jpg mode 4000 x 3000 Edited on Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 No color grading Music is "God Gave Me Style" by 50 Cent
