      • Illidan and the Black Temple - Animated Wallpaper

        from Paul Added 762 0 0

The original painting is by Wei Wang (he's awesome!), and I added a ton of motion graphics to spice it up and give it some life. Basically, this is an animated video that you can use as your desktop wallpaper using a build in feature that comes with windows called "Dreamscene". Dreamscene is only enabled on Windows Ultimate packages, and needs to be enabled for any computer that's not running Windows Ultimate. I have provided simple instructions on how to obtain and use the video as your desktop wallpaper below. - You will need to have Dreamscene enabled in order for this to work on your Windows computer. Something like this will work: http://www.thewindowsclub.com/windows-7-dreamscene-activator-released - You can download the original video on my website: http://www.paulwhipps.com/Illidan_Wei_HQ.zip *******NOTE******* If your text disappears or looks dark after using DreamScene, you can fix it by following these steps: The fix for the icon text is this. (Windows 7, dunno about others) 1.)Click on the Start Menu, then right click "Computer" 2.)Select properties 3.)On the left hand side select "Advanced System Settings" 4.)Under "Performance", click the settings button 5.)Scroll all the way to the bottom of the list that pops up 6.)Uncheck the box labeled "Use drop shadows for icons on your desktop" 7.)Apply and close, and your text works perfectly again For more cool art and neat stuff, feel free to check out my DeviantArt at: http://paulwhipps.deviantart.com

                • petri paint app

                  from George Toledo Added 365 4 2

This is based in some of the visual feedback ideas I've been working with. It's a desktop level app that produces "paint" squalls of different textures... this is an example of just one of the various settings. It responds to your body movement and paints over whatever your desktop wallpaper is, using this particular setting. This is a screengrab from a version done a couple weeks ago. It used an alpha build of Kineme's Quartz Builder to "app-ify" it. I also have some settings that control the visual seed with multi-touch / TUIO, AR Toolkit, as well as some openCV options using the Kineme OpenCV library. It's turning into a "mega interactive" art application.

                  What are Tags?

Tags are keywords that describe videos. For example, a video of your Hawaiian vacation might be tagged with "Hawaii," "beach," "surfing," and "sunburn."
