Cyber-bullying is usually a verbal aggression with the intent of humiliating the user and happens in places such as chat rooms, e-mail and social networks. Today most of the cyber-bullying cases occur with teenagers who are constantly accessing the internet and having social interactions online. In most of the cases the bully is anonymous, however direct conflicts also can occur and extend outside of the cyber space. The objective of the project is to let the parents know and think about the topic and how it has been growing recently in the virtual world, so that they can always be aware of how their kids are using technology today and how they are exposed to the risks of cyber-bullying as well as how to deal with this problem if their children are involved or threatened by this kind of situation. For children that are victims of cyber-bullying, the intention of the project is to make them be cautious while browsing the internet and accessing social websites as well as acknowledging the risks of talking or interacting with strangers and anonymous individuals online and how to report and deal being involved in this kind of situation.

Custom grasshopper component for a live background link between grasshopper and ROBOT. The user may adjust input parameters of length to change the geometry of a set of hanging catenary chains. The custom components convert the volatile grasshopper geometry to an external program called ROBOT. ROBOT is used to analyze the geometry for performance requirements of strength and deflection. The custom components provide a live link that automatically updates the data in ROBOT, in the background, as the user interactively continues working in the RHINO/Grasshopper environment. No intermediate data files are created, shared, or converted. Grasshopper is currently a free parametric design tool available for Rhino and developed by David Rutten. A Resonating Canvas is an interactive sound installation artwork. In an attempt to explore how to visualize something as visually imperceptible as sound, we exploit the attractive nature of the visual, to invite the audience to experience sound through a visual medium, while encouraging social interaction. A glitchy and haunting expression appears through remediation of sound. Niels Astrup at www.nastrup.dk Simon Marxen at www.simonmarxen.dk Kevin N. Andersen at www.kevinandersen.dk

A majority of American adults are overweight and exercising insufficiently. Poor fitness habits are largely attributed to life-style barriers – the negative perception of exercise as too time consuming. This project aims to alter this perception through an educational YMCA campaign that features daily decisions (outside of typical fitness programs) promoting and supplementing an active lifestyle. The Clifton Melrose Branch is used as a case study. By utilizing strategically placed digital screens throughout the YMCA, these daily tips are targeted at an audience base already receptive to embracing a healthy, active lifestyle. ----- ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Project Description: www.brillidesign.com/thesis/brilli_Project-Description.pdf Process + Report: www.brillidesign.com/thesis/brilli_Poster.pdf Poster: www.brillidesign.com/thesis/brilli_Poster.pdf ----- "The NEAT Choice: Daily Decisions for a Healthy, Active Lifestyle in Adults" is the undergraduate senior thesis project of Rich Brilli, Digital Design major in the college of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP) at the University of Cincinnati.

Gordon Salchow's design was initially intended to be painted on a series of three walls around the Skywalk located at 6th and Race Streets. The wall was painted on the back of the Mabley & Carew building, one of many wall surfaces that were exposed along the West 4th Street district during the early 1970's. Forty years later, public art projects continue to be a component of urban revitalization in neighborhoods throughout Cincinnati.
