Empty calories ingested from processed and chemically engineered foods are becoming a menacing threat to the Western diet, resulting in exponential rates of disease and similar health dysfunction. Chronic diseases affecting Western populations include Type 2 Diabetes, Coronary Heart Disease, obesity, certain forms of cancer, as well as a range of psychiatric illnesses. Unbalanced Western lifestyle habits such as sedentary living, smoking and stress augment these severe health proportions. Non-industrialized countries with little access to staple North American food products are more likely to die of infection than chronic disease. Music Credit: Bubble Bobble Main Theme
