from Minnetonka Public Schools / Added

Argentina’s controversial First Lady, Eva Peron, is the subject of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s dynamic musical masterpiece. Eva Peron, "saint to the working-class, reviled by the aristocracy and mistrusted by the military" was destined to leave a fascinating political legacy unique in the 20th century. Told through a compelling score that fuses haunting chorales with exuberant Latin, pop and jazz influences, Evita creates an arresting theatrical portrait as complex as the woman herself. Winner of 7 Tony Awards, including Best Musical and Best Original Score, Evita features some of theater's most beautiful songs, including "Don't Cry for Me Argentina," "Another Suitcase in Another Hall" and "High Flying, Adored."

from Minnetonka Public Schools / Added

As Immersion reaches the high school, students in 8th grade can now enjoy a visit to China. The trip is a capstone experience for Immersion students. Through partnerships with Jilin Province and the Confucius Institute, over twenty students traveled to Beijing, Langfang and Changchun. Students had an immersive experience in the language with home stays and school visits. The Great Wall and the Forbidden City were destinations as well. As much as students learned from the Chinese Immersion program in Minnetonka, this experience helped to bring their language skills to the next level. The memories from this kind of experience can last as long as an Immersive Chinese education - a lifetime.
