When I stand at that spot, where the water meets the land, it's hard to describe what happens inside of me. It's there that I feel the smallest, yet somehow, in that humbled state, is the biggest sense of reassurance. The tides come in, the tides go out, all in this beautiful chereographed dance. Forever. I grew up in Florida, with no shortage of sea, we would alternate between visits west to the Gulf of Mexico, and east to the Atlantic. I can't remember a single time that I didnt stand in that spot, that I mentioned before, and think about the people standing at their spot, across the water. Be it Mexico, Africa, and now that we are west coasters, Tokyo, Japan, it's a constant reminder that the world isn't as small as life sometimes makes it out to be. "a home movie. part two." chronicles our time spent with close friends at that spot, where the water meets the land. www.driftwoodvisual.com
