Title is a lyric straight from Bright Eyes' song "At the Bottom of Everything." This is a final cut version of my final exam for Mona's class. If you've seen the other versions of this (one of which is here in Vimeo, the others I've removed), then you know how much work has gone into it. I'm very pleased with the end result. Hope you enjoy.

I went out into nature. Unfortunately I couldn't realize this in my hometown Pécs, autumn is much more colorful and exciting there I think. Anyways, it was good to go wherever and shoot whatever... I realized that the most beautiful form of dying is autumn.

          • St John's Wood: In the Footsteps of Anthony Burgess

            from Geoffrey Grigson Added 11 0 0

Deathplace of Anthony Burgess: the Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth, in the St John's Wood district of London, England. There is a 'hospice' within the Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth, and probably Anthony Burgess was taken there. "...the real trouble about dying...is fighting for breath and losing, and leaving behind a body which discharges its excrements with abandon and makes death disgusting rather than ennobling....We expect to feel guilty, because we, the children, are being made room for, but we do not expect to feel disgusted. The desperate asthma, the rattle, the rictus are so mechanical and depersonalizing, and the collapse of the excretory system, with its aftermath of a ruined mattress waiting days for the garbage cart, is a sub-Rabelaisian joke in very bad taste." (Anthony Burgess) Here is Burgess writing shortly before his death: "Am I happy? Probably not. Having passed the prescribed biblical age limit, I have to think of death, and I do not like the thought. There is a vestigial fear of hell, and even of purgatory, and no amount of rereading rationalist authors can expunge it. If there is only darkness after death, then that darkness is the ultimate reality and that love of life that I intermittently possess is no preparation for it. In face of the approaching blackness, which Winston Churchill facetiously termed black velvet, concerning oneself with a world that is soon to fade out like a television image in a power cut seems mere frivolity. But rage against the dying of the light is only human, especially when there are still things to be done, and my rage sometimes sounds to myself like madness. It is not only a question of works never to be written; it is a matter of things unlearned. I have started to learn Japanese, but it is too late..."

Carmen Burguess Berlin How do you respond to an everyday death? http://mueranhumanos.com/ Carmen Burguess & Tomás Nochteff created Mueran Humanos as an art project in 2006, working on installations, video, collage, prints and music. The music, a blend of electronic and electric sounds, becames the central part of the project evolving slowly from very abstract to more song oriented structures, but retaining somehow the improvisation and experimental elements, resulting in a sound of their own, very different of the retro tendencies that defines this era of pop music. After a couple of singles and gigs all over Europe and South America, they released their debut album this year, supported by an U.S. tour, through Old Europa Cafe (CD version, Italy) and Blind Prophet Records (vinyl version, New York USA), to critical aclaim world wide. Nowadays Mueran Humanos are preparing the material of their second album andmore European tours. A 12 inches single will be released in January 2012 on the UKlabel Vanity Case.
