Simple machines are all around and help make our work easier! This movie was created by 4th grade students at Lowell Elementary School in Watertown, MA. They studied different types of simple machines, developed scripts, and filmed short video demonstrations using Flip Video cameras. The video clips were edited in iMovie. Using Apple Garage Band, the class created an opening song. The closing song lyrics were developed by students in class and fine tuned by the whole class (and the teacher). We really enjoyed making this video and hope that you enjoy watching it!

This is a humorous look at the possibilities for collaboration between librarians and classroom teachers. As the need for information changes, the librarian and the school library needs to change along with it. This video uses parody, music, research and general silliness to make a point that all classroom teachers, administrators, and librarians should think about.
