Here's a rough video demonstrating a new routine for projection mapping using Padé approximants to correlate between world space (XYZ) and projector space (XY). Testing with iPad control application and Padé's implemented as plugin/shaders in VVVV http://www.kimchiandchips.com

A Journey: Seoul continues in the Journey series, looking into ways that people can build up their personal journey box using their own memories. We are interested in ways that people can store their memories inside of a box, and how they animate and add details to those objects. We are non specific in our representation of places and objects, so that the user has space to add their own imagination to the box. Documentation of a presentation by Elliot Woods - an interactive artist/designer with Manchester/Seoul based studio Kimchi and Chips - http://www.kimchiandchips.com - on their various interactive visual installations - generally using projectors, papercraft and hacked hardware. The presentation is unedited - so expect natural pauses - and the video and audio quality is fair... certainly better than the last session - if not quite there yet. Thanks to Elliot for an enjoyable and engaging insight into his work. Useful web links on the InProcess:ing website - inprocessing.cybersonica.org.

We had a physical computing workshop in Seoul, Korea in Feb. 2010 with brilliant and funny people! It was a lovely opportunity to experience people, ideas and inspiration. We are missing to play, explore and tinker with them again sometime soon. :) Thanks guys!!! Background music : Once upon a lime by Art of Noise.

Ongoing project : testing projection mapping with "Journey" prototype box. every slide is a memory of a place or object each has a unique pattern of teeth on the bottom this pattern is read when you put the slide into the box a projector can then paint animations onto the slides the animation is contextual to the slide and the rest of the scene this way you can build up a picture of your own memory Final design : http://www.vimeo.com/13224885 more info : www.kimchiandchips.com
