1. Adam Kraczkowski, Cyryl Sochacki: Raspberry Pi vs. rozwiązania ARM, Arduino vs ARM Cortex M

    from PLUG Added 47 0 0

Udowodnimy, że RPi to stara i zamknięta architektura, rozwiązanie drogie, pozbawione sterowników a dodatkowo bez ciągłości dostaw. Dodatkowo, o ile czas pozwoli omówimy dlaczego Arduino jest złe i powinno zostać zakazane.

                from Cricky Lyttle Added 9 0 0

These programs were written by Chris Lyttle and Jonathan Skelly for our Embedded Systems Mini Project. They are written in the C programming language in Microchip's MPLAB using the XC32 compiler. The C programs were developed using a combination of knowledge gained from lectures, sample code examples and from Lucio Di Jasio's 'Programming 32-Bit Microcontrollers in C: Exploring the PIC 32'. The first program shows how to set up the ADC and take readings from the ADC which are then displayed via the output ports using LEDs. Program two shows how to setup and store data in a ring buffer and displays how full the buffer is on the LEDs by counting from 0-15 in 4-bit binary numbers. The final program builds on the first two. It reads in a voltage from a thermistor on the ADC input, displays this as a temperature while displaying the buffer full status on the LEDs. Then when a button is pressed the data is sent via UART2 to the computer terminal. The video shows our understanding of the following: Setting up the PIC32 fuses using #pragma config statements for certain clock frequencies etc. Configuring interrupts, timer modules, ADC module, UART module, TRISx registers, ANSELx registers, multiplexed outputs (7segs and LEDs). How to send data via asynchronous serial port (UART). How to setup and store data in a ring buffer. Reading analogue values and converting to a digital number. How to create time delays using the timer modules. ..and of course our understanding of the C programming language.

                  from JAX TV Added 211 0 0

Be it the building you live in, your car, the pacemaker of your grandmother, or your toaster, it is expected that by 2020, there will be tens of billions of connected objects. While there are solutions already deployed nowadays, the real take-off of M2M cannot happen without open source. In this keynote talk from JAX 2013, Benjamin Cabé will explore the challenges of the Internet of Things, and share insights on the open-source technologies developed by the Eclipse M2M initiative. And yes, there will be a demo!
