Dr. Brian Hewlett gives the 3rd talk on the first day of Palenque Norte 2012 at Burning Man. Sign up for the Palenque Norte mailing list at eepurl.com/rOhGv This workshop offers a brief history of the conceptualization of human consciousness and intelligence before outlining the process of conscious perception of experience proposed by Qualitative Field Perception Theory (QFPT). QFPT is a contemporary theory by Dr. Brian N. Hewlett (2012) that proposes human consciousness has a default formula for constructing experience that can be explained by the rules of quantum mechanics and in terms of the divine proportions of the golden ratio. The theory argues that each human acts as an observer constructing experience from an infinite field of qualitative material that is either shared or is a set with a fractal dimension. QFPT presents for conscious observers a set-based algorithm that has implications for human agency in manifesting experiences both psychedelic or otherwise, subjective reasoning in Artificial Intelligence (AI), and time space manipulation. As such the workshop concludes with a discussion that focuses on the social and moral significance of introducing such an algorithm into AI and the further implications that may have for human society. This is the truth. Ever heard of an entheogen before? You might want to look it up online if you haven't. This tool allows a focus on the present moment that slows the perception of time and creates a heightened awareness of reality. This understanding has the potential to unite people that have been divided by cultures that follow traditional understandings that divide them. I have confidence, because these entheogens tell us we are all the same, we are one, love is all that is. Get ready for a paradigm shift in consciousness, an evolution, a higher frequency vibration. Oh yes my friends, oh yes.

Altered consciousness resulting from the consumption of various drugs has had a creative effect on art throughout the ages. The use of psychedelics in current times has greatly influenced the visions depicted by modern artists, from the 1960s to today. Jon Hanna’s lecture and slide presentation—a visual delight—will introduce and discuss works by artists who have been inspired by their drug use. The primary focus will be on contemporary art, and the incredible twists and turns that it has taken on the psychedelic path. Art styles discussed and presented include Abstract, Geometric, Surrealistic, Computer-aided, Fantastic Realism, Spiritual/New Age, Photography, Sculpture, and more. Work from artists such as L. J. Altvater, Pablo Amaringo, Dean Chamberlain, Vibrata Chromadoris, Ernst Fuchs, H.R. Giger, A. Andrew Gonzalez, Alex Grey, Allyson Grey, Naoto Hattori, Mark Henson, Martina Hoffmann, Nick Hyde, Mati Klairwein, Stevee Postman, Steven Rooke, Donna Torres, Robert Venosa, Robert Williams, and others may be presented. Despite the variety of approaches taken by these visionary artists, conference attendees will learn to identify common symbols and themes that define contemporary "Psychedelic" art. Although this art had its roots in the 1960s, today’s Psychedelic art has developed into a unique expression, which cannot be relegated to "retro" hippie-culture.
