        In the pursuit of strengthening the university students’ entrepreneurial mind-sets and graduates’ employment rate, Next Generation and Copenhagen School of Entrepreneurship (CSE) have throughout the last two-three years been working hard on putting entrepreneurship and innovation (E&I) at the center of higher educations. What is it? The Teaching Corps is an initiative targeted at making entrepreneurship an integrated part of university tuition by creating a corps of dedicated university teachers, who will go through training and coaching in order to combine the given disciplinary thinking and reach with entrepreneurial elements. Entrepreneurial and innovative thinking is not just a strategic important parameter within the corporate sector in order to secure sustained economic growth; it has also proven its significance within the academic world for the purpose of increasing the students’ employability. In order for the students to contribute innovatively and entrepreneurially to the Danish as well as the International society when graduating, it must be realized that there is a great need to strengthen their entrepreneurial mind-sets and attitude. “I can only recommend other teachers to enrol. The program provides an unique opportunity to develop ideas in a forum consisting of colleagues from other universities, who all face very different challenges in implementing entrepreneurship, but share the belief in the necessity of providing our students with the means to take charge of their own careers.” Reveals Michael Kai Petersen, Assistant Professor at DTU and former participant in the ‘Teaching Corps’. Who are able to participate? This winter, the recruitment for ‘The Entrepreneurial Teaching Corps 2013’ commences. Approx. 15-20 teachers from CBS, KU and DTU, respectively, are given the unique opportunity to participate in the spring semester programme. How do you apply: In order to apply for the Teaching Corps, please send a one-page motivated application, describing the teaching activity you wish to work with and your motivation for participating in the programme. Please, also attach your CV. What do you get out of it? Introduction to innovative and entrepreneurial didactics Instructive insights into the entrepreneurial mind-set The possibility to work with new teaching methods and tools in own disciplinary content Opportunity to use time and focus on both the planning and the execution of the course Be challenged and supported by other teachers from different disciplines and the involved learning units.
