        • Rupert Murray talks about The End of The Line

          from G-Technology EU / Added

Rupert Murray is an acclaimed Film Director; with recent work including the campaigning documentary The End of The Line about the devastating global effect of over-fishing. Premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, The End of The Line is a wake-up call for the world. It took two years to film this powerful documentary that sets out to reveal the shocking truth about the fishing industry, with global over-fishing set to see the end of seafood by 2048. The End of The Line took Rupert and his team across the world – from the Straits of Gibraltar to the coasts of Senegal and Alaska and to the famous Tokyo fish market. The film follows them confronting politicians and celebrity restaurateurs, along with interviewing top scientists and fishermen to tell the real story of what is really happening to our oceans. Robust Technology: It isn't just the expense of traveling across the globe and filming in many diverse environments that restricted a re-shoot should the rushes become corrupted or lost. The journalistic nature of the film meant that the action would have been hard or impossible to shoot again. The project called for data storage that could be relied upon 100 per cent. Therefore, Rupert used his G-DRIVE mini on location to save his unique footage. He also used his G-RAIDS in the studio as further back-up. "The drives haven't skipped a beat, I wouldn't use anything else to store my work. You have so much to focus on when you're putting together a documentary that you cannot afford to worry about losing your footage, and the G-Techs have been flawless," Rupert said. We love printing. But we don't love what printing does to the environment. So we've worked with world-class font experts, Monotype, in an attempt to create the world's most beautiful sustainable font. We didn't want to compromise legibility for sustainability; after all the font will only help the environment if people actually use it. And of course, it must be completely free to download. The result: Ryman Eco, which uses 33% less ink than standard fonts. So download it, use it, and share it. Because it isn't just what you write that can make a difference. It's how you write it. www.rymaneco.co.uk
